Food was excellent and very reasonable with the price. Cost us £60 between 4 people with drinks. Would recommend as the staff where extremely polite and the food was very tasty!

Wow. Been to Millom 3 times over the years and only just found this gem. The lady who’s greeted us and served us, was so friendly and welcoming! We had our 3 whippets and they had a lovely time aswell.

Food was amazing! Absolutely everything we had was delicious. And we were sat by an open fire, what a way to end a long windy and rainy walk.

Simply wow! We’ve visited twice this week, once for breakfast and then for dinner. The service was absolutely superb - we had our dog with us who can be reactive and our wonderful waitress couldn’t do enough for us. Our breakfasts on our first visit were delicious and our evening meals even better. Lots of choices - enough for everyone and all cooked to perfection. Two of our party built their own burgers and two of us had the ribeye steak. The pub is beautiful inside and the food is a bargain. If you’re in the area (or fancy a drive) then it’s well worth a visit. We hope to be back soon as this place is a hidden gem. Thank you so much for the food and your kindness.

We were cycling on a Tuesday in March and were delighted to find the pub open and serving food. There was a lovely fire and friendly service. We had tea and beans on toast to see us on our way. They also serve proper diners and a good selection of breakfasts. Food served from 10 am.

We've eaten at the King Billy (sorry - old habits die hard) a number of times since it reopened in December 2022.

The first time it was quite nice, and every time has been better than the previous time.

This last time, the food was excellent, it was clear that it was well run, they only have one hand pump but the beer is kept very well.

Would highly recommend to others.

What can I say......food fabulous, great atmosphere, and the lady who served us was absolutely lovely. Very friendly and helpful. I had the scampi chips and peas husband had the cheese and onion pie. Great size portions food presented well and hot. I really wanted the brownie for afters but was to full, not a problem, they did me a takeaway and that didn't disappoint either. Would definitely recommend, and will definitely return.

Really good tasty food, love the make your own burger and hotdogs menu. Friendly service and dog friendly, too. Good opening times throughout week and weekends. Breakfasts are amazing too, plenty of good quality ingredients from local butcher in area.

Went to the pub on our way back to London. The staff was very polite and friendly, food was tasty and music pleasant. We came early and there was plenty of space, service got slightly slower once the pub got filled in but nothing to bother. Good selection of drinks and homemade pies

A large group of 11 of us turned up unannounced and the service was excellent. Despite already being quite busy they managed to accommodate us without bother. The food was excellent value and everyone really enjoyed their meals. The make your own burgers is a fantastic idea. We'll definitely return. Thanks everyone!

An exceptionally good Sunday roast (beef) with all the trimmings (the best Yorkshire pudding ever) lovely pub/inn with very welcoming staff. Def one for a second visit. Felt very much that what we had was also good value for money. All in all excellent.

Our first visit and certainly not our last. The food was really good, the portions were fantastic and all served up by very polite staff. My wife is celiac and the gluten free choices were boundless.
The food and staff were amazing and the price was superb. Cannot recommend enough.

We had a very nice meal, very friendly staff and a welcoming ambience. There was a little wait for the food but staff were very apologetic and offered us free drinks. Will definitely return when in area and thoroughly recommend. Teenage sons said the burgers were excellent!

Such a lovely little place to stop, owners were so welcoming and food was amazing! Me and my friends really struggled to find a place that had a decent menu in the area but this really hit the spot! There was so many options on the menu that was customisable as well! They are dog friendly too. 😊

We had dinner here on Saturday 24th November and the staff were amazingly attentive to us despite being busy. When our young daughter was tired and moody they took time out to sit and talk/play with her to see what she wanted. They also advised us on menu options and what was best for our daughter given that she wasn't in the mood to eat much! The staff are so friendly, we love coming here and will continue to do so.

A wide menu choice and they do gluten free food so a worthwhile place to visit if you have coeliac disease or gluten intolerant. Warning too much gf pudding can make you diabetic but oh boy is the Trillionaire pudding worth having

Best place I have eaten in a long time. 5 of us went all food piping hot and served together. Starters were brilliant but the steaks were next level 2 600g steaks were bought by people with eyes bigger than their bellies, one made it through the other had to hang his head in shame and accept a take away box. Brilliant service staff super helpful and friendly the chef came out personally to see if we were enjoying our meal. A big thing that I liked is that you got enough sauce so many times you order a sauce to go with your steak and it's never enough here it was more than enough. 5 sticky toffee puddings to finish came with 2 scoops of ice cream and again loads of sauce. Could not fault the food the staff or the place will be returning soon for sure.
