EDDY’S RESTAURANT | Dog Friendly, Great Coffee, Surfer Decor, food made with love 🏄🏻‍♀

As my parents now live on the Gower, it is my mission to find as many places to eat down here as I can; more so, dog friendly.

Yes, Eddy’s has been on everyone’s radars for a while, but there were some varied reviews here so I wanted to check it out for myself and give a more up to date opinion!

I always bloody love a surfer beach cafe and Eddy’s did it so well 🏄 The decor is gorgeous filled with surfboards, maps of the Gower and local seaside art. Eddy’s was also super super clean! The toilets are immaculate and the floors spotless despite dogs and walkers coming through with sandy shoes. Not a spec!

Staff were all bloody lush, super dog friendly (the cafe’s in house pooch even had his own house in the cafe!) and the food was really REALLY good.

We had a fry up and the sausages were local to Gower, and came with corn fritters and potato rostis- bloody love that!
I don’t usually rave over sandwiches, but my Beef, horseradish and pickles toasted ciabatta was phenomenal!! Also, the harrisa, lemon and garlic chips were stars of the show!
Coffee is from a local producer and made with care; great latte art and they clearly know what they’re doing!

Right on the dunes, warm and cosy on a blustery Welsh wet day, going to be bloody gorgeous on a sunny one too! ☀
Perfect for walkers, beach goers or those who want a pint with sea views in the evening!

This is my place for the summer, get the wax out 🏄🏻‍♀

Eddy’s smashed it.
My first time here, I enjoyed lunch after a long walk along the beach.
The entire menu looked fab but the Korean chicken spiced salad bowl immediately took my fancy.
£15 for lunch, I thought might be a bit pricey at first, but when it arrived I think it was exceptional value for money.
It was delicious. Portion was huge and everything about it was spot on. It had tonnes of freshness from the herbs, seasoning, the pickled cucumber and red cabbage (my favourite bit). Loads of warming heat, not overpowering, but a gentle, warming hum across my whole mouth. The chicken (lots of it) was moist, very well cooked and seasoned. The kimchee salad was lush, sweet, sour, full of zing.
Loads of edamame beans and rice to fill you up.
Overall, an excellent plate of food - well done Eddy’s chef!
And the staff were all pleasant, attentive and helpful. Service was excellent too.
And they were only too happy to let my dog inside too.
Well done Eddy’s. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Great little place.
Great food, lovely staff and good calm atmosphere with great views. Homemade treats and light bites available but the breakfast was amazing.
Clean and fresh toilets which shows thw cleanliness of the place.
Side note - had to pay £5 to access and park on camp site which I guess helps keep the place calm and chilled.
Had a lovely walk on the beech afterwards so £5 well spent I would say!
Highly recommend 👌

We visited Eddy’s several times during our holiday on the Gower, including twice for breakfast.
We had visited once for breakfast two years previous (during Covid) and it had been slightly disappointing. But what a difference!
We tried out a fair amount of the breakfast menu between the nine of us in our group and everyone was impressed with the food. Eduardo’s breakfast (a Mexican take on breakfast) was particularly impressive - the flavours were superb.
The portions were very generous and it was all well priced particularly considering the size of the meals.
The outside seating areas are good and they have one section with some wind protection.

We haven't been to this end of Rhossili Beach before and were really impressed with the facilities, including Eddy's Restaurant. Very friendly welcoming staff and we were allowed to take our dog in too. Had a delicious bacon and sausage roll and coffee. Superb! Great views from inside the restaurant and plenty of seating outside too.

Pleasant and spirituous place to spend a good time with family or friends. Delicious and simple food. Fish and Chips, Burgers, Salads and Jackie potatoes. Drinks, coffee, cakes, ice cream. You can eat indoors or enjoy the fresh sea air at one of the big tables outside. Friendly staff.
It’s only missing wifi available.
Instead you have an unforgettable view to the bay and even to wormhead.

A big thankyou to the team for keeping the doors open to us on Sunday, despite our late arrival. Delicious end to a busy day. I recommend the Falafel bowl, and the cider!

The clincher for us when we stay at Hillend, is the breakfast at Eddie’s followed up with a chill out and ice cream! The view from inside is great and there’s also plenty of outside seating to enjoy the view. Would highly recommend if you’re staying on the site or if you just want a good bite to eat with a view.

Been going to hilllend for 10+yrs 2-4 times every year and this place is great! Breakfast is big enough and fresh with good ingredients...
Had an evening meal for the first time this week as the weather was pants and Eddy's was a welcoming retreat from the tent...
Small selection of beer was nice and the satay chicken bowl was awesome! Huge, fresh tasting and healthy ..really good!
Can't recommend it enough, my friend had the Korean bowl and he was equally happy...
Top marks for offering a tasty healthy treat!

Fantastic menu- creative and varied. From pub classics to hearty salads, tofu bowls, shakshuka, spanakopita, amazing French toast…. We ended up coming here for breakfast, lunch and dinner at various points during our holiday. Food was delicious with hearty portions ! Coffee also great. Plenty of outdoor seating and staff were absolute troopers- working long hours but still super friendly and helpful.
