Well wow. I'm really careful with 5 star reviews so this one really does count. And where to start?

Quietly and beautifully located, yet just a minute from the A470. A gorgeous period manor with a spotless, modern, well-equipped room in the coach house with a super comfy bed and very nice bathroom. About the only minor criticism - a summer weight duvet might be more appropriate this time of year, although knowing the Welsh weather, that's a close call!

With absolutely lovely staff and a delicious breakfast, the only downside of visiting was that one night just wasn't enough. 4.75/5, will be back! 🙂

A beautiful building, fantastic oak beamed rooms retaining the original tudor features from 1535. The most friendly staff I have ever come across, nothing was a problem, even filling my coffee flask for the 2 hour journey back home. The food was superb, and great wine choice too.

Just went for a birthday lunch and took a special lunch menu. Very nice choices and service good but a little slow. Food was nicely presented small portions. Lovely venue. Lovely day out.

We didn’t stay the night so we cannot rate the rooms. But we had a meal for 43 (people not pounds) and the food and service was amazing. We had the set menu and all 3 courses were sublime. Thank you team Maesmwr for a perfect evening

Absolutely beautiful building in an even more stunning surrounding.

The rooms are extremely comfortable, warm and quiet.

The food is astonishing and the staff, absolutely charming in every regard.

5 stars is an understatement, I look forward to visiting again.

Lovely little place in Caersws,Rob on reception was really friendly and welcoming, especially considering how late at night i arrived after a breakdown in my truck he really went above and beyond for me and lisa the morning staff was also lovely and very welcoming, the breakfast that is included with your stay was amazing the chef (sorry I forgot the lady's name) cooked everything to perfection (full Welsh breakfast) the room was to a clean and tidy standard and noise was minimal, overall I really enjoyed my stay and the owner is very lucky to have these members of staff running their hotel

Fantastic lunch and in beautiful surroundings. Wide menu to suit all budgets. We had scallops to start and one short rib of beef one rack of lamb. Top quality and beautifully presented. That was £30 a head but they do light bites or a two course lunch for £15. Well worth a visit

Another absolutely gorgeous visit to this beautiful venue. I honestly cannot express enough how special this place is.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful with all traditional features still kept in a very beautiful way and are welcomed inside with a warm wonderful fire in the most gorgeous fireplace.

The staff always give you such a warm friendly welcome and are very professional and are always made to feel special.

Finally the food, well what can I say? It was magnificent, truly tasty as hopefully you can see in my photos where we had chicken curry, belly pork and a chocolate tart and cheeseboard to finish.

Its been a perfect evening and with a full tummy and a smile on our faces we thank you again for another wondeful visit.

A beautiful venue. Relaxed and comfortable. Service and Sunday dinner 9/10. Table set up comfortable and private. Good value for money too. Only things that could have improved were to remove the unused wine glasses from the table, also the whitebait starter was dry and dull. Over all a lovely place, friendly staff and the lamb roast was Delicious!!

We recently stayed here on a road trip and were lucky to find Maesmawr when planning. The grounds are beautiful, the food was delicious, and the staff were so kind. If we ever find ourselves in this area again, we will stay here again.

Beautiful location! We popped in for a drink on a lovely sunny evening. Sat in the garden, really friendly staff, had a quick look at the menu which looked nice and reasonably priced. Perfect location for weddings. Lovely hotel inside and out!

Old black and white building from some time, probably some 150 years before 1653, when Edward Davis was recorded as living in Maesmawr. Everything just right, and so relaxing. This hotel has a lovely feel, as if, over the ages, people have been happy here.

Nothing too much trouble for staff, no matter what position and what time we spoke to them exceptionally friendly and helpful. Room was spacious with all facilities (except bathrobe and fridge but it is a 3* rating) and plenty hot water and good pressure from the shower peak morning shower time. We had 3 year old with us and they were only too happy to keep his milk in their fridges until we requested and also refroze our cool blocks for our cooler bag. We were there for family reunion and they gave us private dining room for duration of stay for breakfasts and dinner which meant we felt free to catch up on gossip without worrying about noise or free-ranging toddler disturbing other guests but to no detriment of attentive service. We'll definitely stay here again.
