U-Xplore Abergavenny

Wonderful staff at a great shop. Had a day of walking in my old boots which started to really hurt my feet. Went into Abergavenny and found U-explore. Simon was incredibly helpful and I had a great choice of shoes to try on for my wide feet. Found an excellent pair of shoes and went walking in them the next day and they were so comfortable. Very good range of brands and lovely staff. Highly recommend.

Had a great experience with a very comprehensive gait analysis (with a full blown PDF report at the end) and ended up with an awesome pair of new running shoes that I hadn’t initially considered (or frankly even heard of!). Faultless experience all the way from booking to buying. Thanks!

Brilliant addition to the high street!
Really nice shop with a great selection of mid-high end running, hiking and outdoors kit.
Nice selection of trail running shoes from hoka, la sportiva etc. Brands that aren't often found in the high street stores. Like Cotopaxi and Saysky.

Knowledgeable and passionate staff, one I spoke to was also a sports therapist and offered some helpful advice.
Really recommend this store.

Fantastic running and outdoors shop with a great range of brand you wouldn’t normally come across on the high street. Can’t recommend supporting this shop enough, we need more shops like this on the high street.

I have had a couple of bad experiences in this store. I visited on two occasions to buy a new pair of trail shoes, There were three members of staff hanging around the till area chatting about what they had done the night before and what they had had for their meal. For a shop that advertises to be relatively high-end, I would’ve expected members of staff to show due diligence and approach me and offer some assistance. My intention was to buy some new trainers and some accessories, such as socks and running vest. However, due to the lack of interaction from the staff I decided not to bother as I also noticed that there was another customer who again was receiving no interaction from staff, I found this to be a very poor. I left the store and I drove to Cwmbrân and I shopped in the running shop there. I’ve lived in Abergavenny for a few years now and seen several several small chains on the High Street come and go. Maybe this will be another shop that has closed up business in the next six months time unless they step up their customer service game and interaction with their customers.
