Airthrey Castle

Wonderful building. Born there in 1968 and first time I’ve actually ever been back in the building 👍👍👍

Can't get enough of it. I want to visit it every week for the love of castles ❤

A lovely building. The fireplace in the entrance hall is amazing.

Love how someone has rated it negatively for having "odd staff, and no food" seeing as it's a university owned building and used for classes. Of course there is nowhere to buy food XD

It's part of Stirling university, not always open. There is some detailed wooden panelling on the ground floor.

Fantastic array of flowers and shrubs around the fringe of the putting green and the walk around airthrey Loch is a great way to see the cygnets from all the nesting swans dotted around the edge of the shore , very popular at the weekend try and go midweek if you can , especially now as the students are all heading home so it's a lot more relaxed up tje University for parking

Historic building, if you are like me it's a must see, plenty of history behind this building that you can find out about there, always good to visit even the small historic sites as they do get forgotten about, Im sure the scenery around the area will not disappoint either
