Maryport Tandoori

8 of us inc young kids went last night to celebrate a birthday and the service, despite being busy was excellent. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. The staff very accommodating and happy and chatty. Would definitely recommend:)

We staying over a caravan park and were on the look out for some delicious food after a long 300+ miles of journey. Found this one pretty close to our place so without a second thought we rushed as it was already 9pm and most of the restaurants were closed or about to. We got a warm welcome, they even told Kitchen closes 9:45 but we would wait till you enjoy your meal which is so kind of them. We ordered some tandoori king prawns, tandoori chicken and hara bhara kebab. Tabdoori’s were so delicious but not too much happy with hara bhara kebab as to me it was like omelette(never seen this before). For the mains we did some kulcha naan, garlic naan, chef’s special shylet chicken and chicken mosala and bhindi masala,they were all soo good specially the shylet chicken given with boiled egg. I would definitely recommend to someone at Maryport or near maryport and do try there kulcha naan that was awesome and for four people it was just £96 which I say it is cheap.

Won't go to any other place. Had my dad's 80th there and it was busy but well organised. Lost count how many times we have been and we will be back

Great food it was quiet on a Wednesday night. Had the Tandoori Duck Madras which was nice.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a good quality tandoori place in Maryport. The restaurant is clean and kept well, the owner personally attended to us with great conversation. We love starters and order a selection with a suggested curry special from the menu. A great selection of food and drink

Amazing food and fantastic service. This place is a cut above the rest and we highly recommend a visit. Ali, the owner, is a wonderful host - nothing is too much trouble. We felt looked after, welcome and well fed. Thank you.

Called in at this little gem. Monday night, so quiet but a few take aways going out.
Extensive Menu with plenty of choice.
Informative staff with recommendations. Chose the Chicken Naga and Lamb Kharai. Both excellent and full of flavour with vegetable rice and Keema Nan.
Would highly recommend this Curry House (and I've been to the best in the last 50 years all over the Country)

Took my dad out for an Indian. This place is a hidden gem! Very attentive staff. Excellent food. Massive portions! Very reasonably priced. Would highly reccomend & will definitely be going back!! Thank you Maryport Tandoori!!

Absolutely Love this Indian Restaurant! It's a real treat for us when we go. The food is gorgeous and the staff are very friendly. Large portion sizes too so plenty to eat and then take home 🍛☺

Absolutely amazing food!! I would travel out of my way to get it, incredible specials and niche dishes. They have a crazy amazing special secret yoghurt dip and we took home pots of it! Staff were also wonderful, welcoming and charming.
Gorgeous walk over from anywhere local too.

Ali and Jewel were very friendly and welcoming, we felt right at home. The food was piping hot, not too spicy but very tasty, absolutely delicious. What a feast we had, we couldn't finish it all so they put what we decided to take with us in takeaway tubs. Wish we had explored further afield sooner and found this gem of a restaurant, but unfortunately this was last night of our holiday down the road 20 minutes in Silloth. Definitely worth the trip out, and the drive along the sea coast road was spectacular.

The food is fantastic in this off the beaten track place. Efficient friendly service and very generous portions. The food is very tasty and there's plenty to take home with you if you can't finish it (like me!). It's a surprising little gem in the crown if Maryport

Absolutely fantastic. Loved the food and very friendly staff.

Went here tonight for our date night could not fault the service and our meal 10/10 even took some home to enjoy for supper, thank you so much we will be back!

Authentic Indian Cuisine and Friendly Service. More quantity in a reasonable price. A must visit restaurant...

On arriving without a booking, at 17.30 with a party of 6! we were welcomed even though they were fully booked from 7pm the staff were so helpful and friendly.

The food was delicious the spice wasn't overpowering from the sauce the chilli's just added to the flavour of the dish, I would definitely recommend thank you.

The best Indian restaurant in Cumbrian and perhaps the UK. Service was excellent from the moment we walked in until we left. I am disabled and use a walking stick, so hubby drove the car up to the door. A lovely member of staff went and opened the car door for me. Little touches like that make you want to go back. And now the food...wow and another wow. Plentiful and absolutely delicious. Staff checked that everything was OK a couple of times. There were four of us and we all agreed that the food was brilliant and that we'd definitely be returning. Thank you.

Well deserving of his recent award, Ali and his team are very welcoming and even fit us in last minute on Fri night; early though so plenty of space, staff are attentive and friendly. It can get a bit busy and seem a bit congested if your seated by the door as takeaway collections are constant, but if your looking into the eyes of your loved one or engaging in conversation at your table it shouldn't bother you too much.
Always great food, freshly cooked and served when you are ready.
