Watched Furiosa - A Mad Max Saga this afternoon at this Cinema. Tickets cost £5.75. Good selection of sweets and snacks available at very good prices so you don’t need to bring your own. There’s also a bar.
Auditorium itself was clean and seats were comfortable. Go for row G if you prefer a little more legroom.
I love visiting the cinema whenever I can and always prefer the smaller independent traditional cinemas (like this one) over the big chains.

Went for a game of bingo with my daughter and had a very nice experience. Staff very helpful especially when they noticed (not me) that I was playing the wrong bingo page... You can tell I dont play bingo often, but I will definitely go again. Very nice evening.

Amazing little cinema which has been an institution for whitehaven for a long time, updated with a little bar area.

Local cinema. Friendly staff. Licensed Bar for drinks as well as the usual pop. Popcorn and snacks. Good value. Can book tickets online but might be cheaper if you just turn up. Less choice of seats though, obviously.

Old school cinema with old school prices. Had a great time watching Challengers being the only 2 people in the whole theatre!

Very good cinema, clean and warm with a price reduction for entry, currently. Our tickets were bought online but I believe they can be bought on the door; I could be wrong though.
Have been here loads of times since my original post & it's fantastic. So please, everyone, use it or lose it, it makes a really nice night out.

Fantastic old cinema. Love the name love the nostalgia. The seats are comfy spacious and set so nobody with a big head gets in your view. The screen is ample, I enjoyed watching Toy story 4 on there. It's relaxed and for someone who infrequently goes to the cinema it was a rare treat in a rear these day's old time cinema. Go if your up there in Whitehaven or the lakes.

Arrived late due to not finding a parking space and didn’t have the reference number of pre-bought online tickets. Instead of missing any film manager allowed us all in and said sort tickets at the end. How brilliant the personal touch still exists. Film good and comfortable too. Great experience. Thanks

Brilliant!

The whole family went to see Hotel Transylvania 3 at the weekend and nobody was disappointed. They do a huge selection of snacks and drinks which are great value for money including combo deals and free refills. They even serve fresh pizza! The kids snack pack is an excellent idea and is popcorn, chocolate and a drink all for less than £3! Great location and great staff- Kris was very polite and nothing was too much trouble. What a local gem! See you again soon!

Great little cinema with plenty of character. Good seating (go for row G for extra keg room). Plenty of sweets and drinks on offer and only £2 for kids show on a Saturday morning can't go wrong!!

Fantastic independent cinema that may only have one screen, but it's a big one. Plus, at £6.50 a ticket for adults, and cheap popcorn, drinks (including alcoholic beverages you can drink in the cosy seating area) etc, it's well worth visiting. All the latest major releases, plus some old classics and one-off showings of recent movies, are shown (I just saw the last Jedi). So, basically, it's great!

Was a little reluctant to use them due to some reviews but can honestly say it was very friendly and value for money was great.

It obviously isn’t an imax but it also isn’t charging £14 a ticket lol, wouldn’t hesitate to use again on a more regular basis just a shame film choice is so limited.

Well I for one love it, it's like stepping back in time, old style cinema. I take my grand children every weekend I,m off. The staff are brilliant really friendly and it has a lovely family friendly atmosphere. The multi screens have their place but give me Gaiety any day.
