Dylan Thomas' Grave

A very humble and understated resting place for Thomas and his beloved wife, Caitlin. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings and well tended grounds.
Unfortunately, St Martins Church itself isn't open every day of the week, but the grounds are fully accessible throughout.

It’s a grave, so not really entertaining. But an opportunity to reflect on how artists often burn brightly for a short time.

Distinctive- different to the other graves in the cemetery.

Beautiful simple grave. Well worth a walk around the old graveyard before or after you visit Dylans grave.

Lovely village to walk around. We saw the boat house, his writing shed and grave.
Brown's hotel was on the route aswell.

Dylan Thomas' grave is situated nearby to St Martin's Church, Laugharne. His wife is also buried in the same grave.

Quietly nestled in the churchyard, a simple wooden painted cross, you’ll see the cross looking up to the left and see his wife’s name, look the other side.

There is a lovely short circular walk to St.Martin's Church along a country lane from the entrance to Dylan coastal resort.

Worth a walk to see a bit of our history and lovely church too. Due to Covid-19 the church is not open.

A grey dreary November day, lowering clouds, drizzle that couldn't stop, silence amongst the stones, graveyard quiet, summer visitors faded away, white wooden cross sits brightly in the midst of granite black, simple shape signifying silent soul.

We went to see the grave as my Dad used to know him and helped clear out his house when he passed. So a bit of history. Well worth a visit
