Mambos Ponteland

Visited with a group of friends. Friendly upon entering and very nice interior. Ordered the garlic bread for starter, so cheesy and flavoursome and quite good for sharing while the wait for mains. Food took an average time to come out. I ordered the steak surf and turf. It did not disappoint a VERY large portion and steak cooked to perfection! The sauce was one of the nicest I’ve had but I felt the fries were just unnecessary (but delicious.) Others on the table ordered salmon, pizza etc it looked lovely and a standard size pizza. For dessert I opted for the sticky toffee pudding, again delicious lots of sauce on the pudding which I always prefer too, this restaurant is definitely not stingy on portion sizes and there’s something for everybody’s taste buds. Nobody on the table drank alcoholic drinks but I did get a non-alcoholic strawberry daiquiri which I don’t think is stated in the menu but they are more than happy to make. Service was attentive coming round plenty of times asking how we were. 100% my favourite restaurant in ncl BUT be aware parking is NOT good. You get 2 hours in the Waitrose car park but our 3 course experience lasted just over. There is also some street parking but may mean a short walk.

We had a lovely evening, the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Their chicken version of 'Surf and Turf' was amazing. We had gorgeous cocktails too. Will definitely go back.

Very much enjoyed the food at mambos. Our first time in the restaurant and we shall be back. Very nice and helpful staff who are super attentive especially 'just the waiter' who tells 'the truth' ;)

What an absolute gem of a place this is. We moved to Northumberland earlier this year and hadn't had time to explore much or find places to eat. Overjoyed to discover Mambo's!

Staff are friendly, service is spot on, and the food is unbelievably good.

Absolutely delicious food, everything on the menu was interesting and our selection was incredible. The service was impeccable . I’m coming again .

We went New Years Eve. The restaurant was very busy but managed really well.
Service was quick and attentive.
The food was amazing as always. It was hot and well presented. The taste was excellent. We were a party of 4. Two of the party had the lamb tagine, the lamb fell apart, no need for a knife and the dish was full of flavour.
The other two had steak, prawns and mussels. The steak was cooked to perfection and the seafood was delicious.
Will definitely book again!
The restaurant is easily accessible to all.

What a great little place. Really good efficient service and the food was absolutely fantastic. We shared a garlic foccacia bedhead and a meat pizza. Both fantastic.

It's a very good eating experience you can see why it's a busy restaurant, the staff is very professional and make sure you have the best possible experience, the food is very well presented and enjoyed by all, definitely worth a visit

Mambo's has classed it's restaurant as Spanish Marocain ( meditation style restaurant). It is set out in a very modern dinner style but with high back soft perimeter seating and individual tables and chairs and other tables and chairs set out for 4 people in the middle of room which can be put together for larger groups of people.
The bar is is well stocked.
I had very good experience at this restaurant, the welcome was very warm, staff very pleasant and service quick, I chose tomato and fresh basil soup for my starter which was very nice and hot and came with a small amount bread.
My main course was Greek chicken fajita which was absolutely delicious with a side order tempura Mediterranean vegetables which was my choice. I was completely satisfied with my experience at Mambo's restaurant.

Food is nice but a bit overpriced, best frozen strawberry daiquiri I've ever had! 😋

Absolutely fantastic place I can't wait to go back. Lots of choice and amazing service. My absolute favourite restaurant and I go to a LOT of restaurants! Waiters are very professional. Food is delicious. Great atmosphere. The food is delicious. One more thing .....i don't understand why people are leaving poor reviews because they parked in stupid places and got tickets.... that is not the restaurants fault! I don't come on here to hear you moan about parking get a taxi it's worth it. There is parking anyway it's just very busy so you need to arrive in good time that's all.

My favourite place to go for fantastic food. Brilliant atmosphere helped along by great cocktails and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Very friendly atmosphere, the fries were a bit soggy but the rest of our food and the service was out of this world, and the waiter was very attentive even though it was a very busy Thursday evening. Will definitely be back soon

The best restaurant my partner & I had the pleasure to dine at. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with a smile and your coats taken.
The staff members at this restaurant go above and beyond for their customers. They regularly check to make sure you have exactly what you need. We stayed behind after paying our bill to talk to the manager and my partner got into a discussion about beard oils & aftershaves with the bearded waiter. The lovely waitress offered to take our photo infront of the neon lobster sign as they had asked how I heard about the restaurant. Well done to the person who runs the tiktok page. The decor at this restaurant is very stylish and modern. Certainly caught my eye.

Now on to the food. We had butterflied King prawns and cozze arrabbiata. It was delicious. We were offered more bread to mop up the rest which was much appreciated as it was too good not finish off.
For mains we had lobster and some sides, naked Mediterranean veg with triple cooked chips. Now we were just expecting a lobster with a bit of salad. When it was put infront of us we were amazed at the dish, alongside the lobster there was Mussels on the right and prawns on the left. The dish was absolutely phenomenal.

For what we had the price was very good. If you ever get the chance to dine here, do it, you won't be disappointed. Thank you Mambos for giving us a 5 star experience.

Me and my family went for my Nana's 70th Birthday and had booked a table for 12 people. We had a fantastic night. Everything was superb. The food was gorgeous. A wide selection of drinks and cocktails. A lovely bottle of Champagne as a surprise for my Nana on her birthday from the restaurant.
