Really good car park, with lots of spaces, and it’s free! You should definitely come to this car park if you’re going to Southwold.

Was a weekday so may be reason for ease of parking 9:30am returning 1:30 was pretty full
Located for easy access to Harbour, town & walking routes
Signage says charity park so donations welcomed

Pro: Too many pros to list all of them but include no parking charges as at Aug 2021. Close to Town Centre. Excellent views across Southwold common . Proximity to lovely walks.
Cons: Some areas not hard surfaced, Very busy at times ...vehicles stick out in to road. A bit of a walk to nearest public toilet at Church Green (although sometimes one of those unpleasant portaloos is placed )

My second car park review is, like the first, complementary.

Southwold has a dearth of car parking in the town. What a pain, but do not despair, as this immensely long tract of cinders on the edge of the town centre delivers precisely the amenity that is so lacking elsewhere: somewhere to stash the wheels.

Also very handy for the peerless Electric Picture Palace.

Free car park, along either side of the quiet road, stretching from town out to the water tower. 5 min walk into town from nearest end, or 10 mins from water tower end.

Very few free parking spaces in Southwold. The Common has unlimited parking IF you can find a space!

An excellent free car park, only a 5 minute or so walk from the town centre but, not surprisingly, it quickly gets full in high season.
