George's Fish Bar.

Went for fish and chips, freshly cooked so had to wait but don't mind when the food is cooked then and there.
Food still hot when I got home and ate it about 20 minutes later.
Best tasting fish and chips for miles around according to my taste buds!
Will definitely go again!

Very good and delicious Fish and Chips, you get a good portion for what you paid. The customer service was amazing quick fast and super friendly. I ordered my food and was gonna eat in the car with the kids but since there was picnic tables I decided to eat out side of the place. An old lady came by to pick up her order and the person working there came out helped her sit down on the picnic table and was super friendly to her making sure she was alright. You know this place is great when they genuinely care about the costumers. I will be coming here all the time from now on. My kids loved it. I love eating my fish with lemon and asked hoping they had lemons and they did!!! Made my first experience wonderful.

Great homemade food and very cheap for the big rations. A very nice treatment and i wish i can come back and eat this great food.

The fish was slightly over cooked for my liking, chips were perfect though. I do always appreciate the small wait for freshly cooked food and that's what I got here. We will be returning.
2nd visit the fish WAS spot on ... it does appear to be a very popular shop and I highly recommend it.

Fish is freshly cooked while you wait, chips are lovely. We travel to the next village to get our fish and chips as they're so much better than any of the ones in our town. Friendly staff and good service.

I give 5 stars but only for the chips , the chips are by far the very best in the whole area, almost like the old school chips from back in the day, very satisfying.
Unfortunately the same could not be said for the fish, very greasy and the batter was far too thick , I tossed all the batter and just eat the fish, the fish meat was plentiful but it was quite dry and chewy.
The peas, oh dear, only 1 star as they were very poor quality indeed !!
If I go again I'm only going for the lovely chips ..that's it.

I have been here several times and have found the staff friendly. The chips are excellent too with decent sized portions. No complaints whatsoever and would definitely return if in the area. Easy to park up. I parked opposite the shop and ate my chips in my car.

The best burger I've had in the UK but that's not saying much. Not sure why no one can cook a burger over here. Would he 3 or 4 stars in the states but over here it's good food.

Went overboard due the likes on George's fish and chips brought to much but i admit there grub was A1 worth the trip and will finish of on Sunday for breakfast worth the price there fish and chips perfect.

Quality fish, sometimes hit and miss on the chips, depend on the day you collect.

Visited when going to see Paul Weller at Thetford forest from Essex, food was amazing and great value and service , well worth a visit , thank you .

One of the best fish and chips shops in the area, and great value for money.

We only had lunchtime chips, but they were freshly cooked, spanking and a proper big serving! We will be returning.

Don't let the size of shop put you off. Best fish and chip shop for miles!
