B&Q Taunton

Now, not to cast aspersions about the typical hardware store shop assistant that certain chains are known for.....But I was expecting at best a nod and a point to the (almost) correct aisle..... Well, today in B&Q Taunton, I had an excellent customer experience. The nice chap that helped me with my door furniture needs was brilliant. (Sorry I didn't catch your name... I will for sure next time) Very knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you for helping me spend my money on the right things 👍

The Kiwi assistant at the paints department was brilliant. Knew her stuff, took me round to find six paints and carried them to check out. Even found a trolley. What a girl!

Well stocked, the prices are a lot more reasonable compared to 5-6 years ago, friendly staff and plenty of parking spaces.

Update: my wife has mobility issues which are worse some days than others. While during a visit she had a flare up and needed to sit down. The staff were amazing and bought her a wheel chair. Can't say enough positive things about this branch.

I enjoy the fact that the shelves here are frequently restocked, which makes it my go to place when doing DIY jobs.

I needed a piece of wood, for a purpose I had in my head when I got there.
Nothing worse than someone with an idea, no plan and no clue turning up on your doorstep.
Thankfully B&Q in Taunton have a Duncan, who listened to my idea, choose the wood best suited, lent me his tape measure for the measurements in the boot of my car. Then cut the wood to size I had measured.
Not his fault I did it wrong but he took a bit more off a few times before it fit the job.

I should have taken Duncan home 🤣

Received a warm welcome when we arrived, with staff on hand to help out at various points throughout the store, which was unexpected in a large outlet, but on a bank holiday was a nice touch. Nothing seemed too much troublefor any member of staff we spoke to. Great work B&Q!

Plenty of parking at this Taunton location. Had a wide selection of paint, partner had already decided on what he wanted and luckily 1 tin left. Fairly pricey but it has done the job and he is more than happy so 5 stars from me

Purchased curtain track at a good price, the store was well stocked very good.

Got exactly what we were looking for and excellent help from the staff.

Great shop, full of your DIY needs, a toilet too which always come in useful and helpful staff on hand to answer questions.. My only gripe would be selfscan tills, and the fact only 1 was actually useable with 4 or 5 shut?

Hubby had gone in. I was outside walking our dog Molly and we were waiting by the door when a very nice worker said I was allowed to take Molly inside... So in we went looking for hubby... The store was clean and tidy the members if staff very helpful and friendly..
