Wickes Braintree

Had to pick up 30 odd bags of sharp and the same in 20mm stone.
Was feeling proper under the weather and a young lady came out and gave me a hand loading the stone... her name was emily and a real credit to the store.
On my 2nd trip another lady from wickes gave me a helping hand.. names escapes me (might of been carol.. blonde hair) both a credit to the store.

My father in law went in the Braintree store for a security light he was impressed by the staff member whome we later found out was Derek Heatley he was very helpful polite and assisted with everything thankyou

Not going to lie normally I’m not a fan of this particular store there was a massive lack of staff every single time! the store stock was low or they didint store it and used to be very disorganised !
I would only really go in there if I had to .

Complete different story now plenty of staff stocked and organised well done guys .⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Good sized store with ample parking and level access. The kitchen showroom is upstairs though. Good variety of goods but not vast. Staff are all very helpful. Great for diy building projects. Large choice of timber and boarding. Got a diy project this is the place to come.

Not the largest Wickes I've ever been too but it's well stocked and everything is easy to find. Even has a small outdoor area for garden items. I've been twice recently and managed to pick up the items I wanted quicky and easily. Staff have been polite and friendly and the store is clean and the shelves stocked up.

Ordered 2 items by click and collect. Wicks were spot on having the items for collection straightaway. Also, the staff were very friendly and helpful as this was the first time I had ordered by C & C. Recommended!

Amazing bits in here for great prices brought some paint from B&Q forgetting we had a Wickes I found the same paint in here for a lot cheaper then B&Q would definitely recommend looking in Wickes first

Easy parking, good quality and selection of goods, staff knowledgeable and friendly.

Big branch that is easily missed as it's on a smaller trade/retail estate next to Freeport you can find off the Freeport mini roundabout at the car park exit. Theres a Screwfix on the same estate that is excellent. Much more detailed trade type stock than B&Q on the main shopping estate. If you want paint and wood go to B&Q, if you want nuts bolts glue blades or tools then Wickes is better and I think cheaper. The main thing about this Wikes is it's huge size and choice, anything else you need is likely at Screwfix. For DIY go to the smaller estate next to Freeport, not to Freeport as it's just much better for everything including parking.

Visited wicks today and in the car park there is a burger van called SMART STOP ,must be the best food I've ever had from a van ,definitely not just a burger van ,quality

Generally find what I need here, staff are always helpful, and you are not fighting for parking spaces with Freeport fashion victims as happens with the other big name DIY supplier.

Really lovely lady helped me with what wood to buy for an airing cupboard. Very friendly and helpful! 😊
