Days Department Store

I like to park at the museum outside Carmarthen and walk into town along the cycle path, which is a really nice walk.
My destination is Days department store for breakfast and a nose in the outdoor section, where there are usually great bargains to be had for those who like a bargain 😀
Then it's breakfast time in the cafe area top floor!
The breakfast is freshly cooked, and you can basically assemble your breakfast with whatever you like.
You can have between 6 and 9 items that are, in my opinion, cooked to perfection, best fried eggs I've ever had!
Friendly, efficient, and really good value for money, especially in these times where one needs a mortgage for a cup of coffee in some places.

Great breakfast in Days this morning. Cooked to perfection. Excellent choice of either 6, 9 or 12 items all very reasonably priced. Very good service.

This was my first time visiting Carmarthen and it has been a memorable experience which I can’t wait to relive.

The restaurant staff demonstrated customer service excellence and catered to my every need.

The food was hot and delicious and we were even made an alternate hot chocolate.

First class service, first class food and dining.

Just got gorgeous shops in Carmarthen and this one was a winner ✨✨✨

Superb scones with clotted cream and cuppa in the cafe. Highly recommend and large range of clothes.

I love this shop, could spend all day here, café is great too.

Visited the restaurant, they’ve got a proper pizza oven and amazing pizzas!
Had tea and a cheeky cake too, very nice and reasonably priced too.
They’ve got a buy one get one on the restaurant beer at the moment too 😀😀

Restaurant always clean and tidy. Toilets for customers are clean with wheelchair/disabled toilet.
Great selection of clothes
Prices range from cheap, to reasonable, to dearer, to I will wait for the sales, and I can't afford that even if it was on sale! But thise are cracking makes that I would expect yo be in the higher price range.
Found the quality brilliant.
I can't comment on the shoes as I haven't bought any from here but the look nice.
Bags look good too.

Regularly buy clothes here, my partner likes this shop always like something which is unusual for him. Friendly staff, had a good laugh with chap on the men's department, wish I had his energy. Enjoyed the cottage pie 😋, drank tap water as want pay coffee ☕ price.

A wonderful department store, love it. Everything one needs, and a lovely clean cafeteria serving tea, coffee, breakfast, lunches. Helpful friendly staff as well.

I had some lunch here today. Store/café manager is super friendly. I had fish and chips which was delicious! Fast service too. Will definitely be having lunch here again.

We went to Days early Saturday morning, it was quite and felt safe to shop in. We bought children's clothes. Then went upstairs for breakfast staff were very pleasant and food was of good quality. After that we bought beding at a reasonable price. We are only sorry that the store is closing down.

Love this store as they do a petite range of clothing to suit my shape also the restaurant has quite a good choice of food

I have found that every department in the Carmarthen store give 110% the staff are like staff used to be years ago where they were prepared to look for an item if it wasn't on the shelf . Well done Carmarthen Days Department Store, definitely 5 🌟

We had lunch in the cafe, staff were friendly and helpful the food was good the tea was very good. Prices we good we will definitely come again. The main shop has a very good range of goods well worth the visit.

All of the staff are cheerful, always happy to help and are all very knowledgeable about both the products and there location. Its a big, spacious shop, has a lift so is both mum and disability friendly. They have the widest range of all clothes and shoes for men, women and kids in all sizes. I've been a regular shopper here since they were previously known as Peacocks.

Peacocks, since it became part of the Days chain has upgraded in so many ways. They finally have more space so can get in and show off a wider range. Its inexpensive but with them, a low price doesn't mean "cheap". So many places sell cheap clothes that fall apart or the seams come apart after one wash and the saying is "you get what you pay for!", that certainly doesn't apply too Peacocks in any way at all. I must have brought at least several items from every range in their store, and even after several wears and washes, all still look as good as new!. I used to buy just the occasional item from them, but since their move, I'm a total convert and buy everything from just them now. And their staff are amazing. They know where all items are so if I ask "Where are the ???", they instantly know, and don't walk me around the shop half a dozen times looking for it. Every single staff member is always happy, helpful and even when they think no-one is around, can be seen or heard humming or singing to themselves as they hang out the new stock. I really can't praise, rave or recommend this shop highly enough. Of course there are other shops within the Days department store, but I have yet to get past Peacocks to investigate those yet.

Me and my daughter called at this restaurant in days after not visiting carmarthen for years. We were both really impressed..I had a tostie with coleslaw & salad..my daughter an open steak sandwich, both very well presented & staff very friendly. Will definitely visit again.

The cafe at Days was well managed, Covid restrictions were in place and the staff were very professional and courteous. Food was great you can’t go wrong at Days.
