Simpele supermarkt maar wel makkelijk om wat spullen te kopen als je in het hotel er naast verblijft. Heeft lange openingstijden wat erg fijn is.

Clearly geared at commuters picking up office snacks rather than doing a big shop. As such it has a decent range of types of items but not much choice. Only oddity is being approached by beggars inside the store which may reflect more on the location than the wishes of the store.

The only Spar in which I’ve been told that Crystal Bars aren’t part of the two for £10 deal — also the queues are annoying but I suppose that this is what is to be expected in the centre of Manchester

Found months expired food items on the shelf like biuskits, brownies, and chocolate cookies.

After asking a staff why we've expired items, they replied,'ohh sorry... today, maybe the responsible staff forgot to remove the expired items.'
On 14th June 23, there were items with BB 5th May and 22nd May23.

Dear staff, please do the daily checks for the short life food items.

Everything in one place. My credit cards did not work though... cashier said it is a signature card and therefore it is not accepted even my cards come with a pin code. What kind of logic is that?? Went to the Spar on Princess street and there they were accepted without any problems at all!

Absolutely disgusting and rude ‘manager’, I post around 20 Evri parcels 3 times a week and have never had an issue but when I got served by this so-called manager she was very rude and said she can only ever accept 5 parcels which is ok but she didn’t need to be so rude about it. I’ll never enter this Spar store again. Someone really needs to look into this as at first I thought she was racist but seeing the other reviews it looks as though it happens with everyone with this specific member of staff. I am devastated at the way I have been treated and spoken to today. She also said she’ll be having a word with the other managers about accepting parcels. Anyways I did end up going to another Evri drop off service and they happily accepted all my parcels and said this policy of 5 parcels is not a thing and never has been. I’ll be going there from now on.

How rude are the staff?! A woman probably aged around 60 with short black hair served me at 1:15pm on 15/03/23. Went to pick up my parcel and the first thing she says is “ugh we’ve actually got a long queue right now”. Ok and what do you want me to do? I waited in the queue for my turn like everyone else? She made me feel like a problem for just going to pick up my parcel. Then she said show me your ID so I showed her my photo ID which is my work pass- has my full name, contact details and photo on it. I also showed her the email confirmation of my parcel being ready to collect. She just stared at me and said “No”. I said “No what sorry?” She said “no I’m not taking that I can only take a license or a passport (even though evri only states ID has to have a photo and I’ve never had a problem using this as my ID from other Evri parcel shops). Before I could even say anything she just shouted “Next!” How rude! Don’t recommend, make sure you choose another newsagent in Manchester next time you use the Evri service or even just buy any convenience items, there are plenty of friendlier ones around.
