Tesco Extra

I loved my first time experience in Tesco Extra Highwoods. All the items I needed were there. I love the clarity of information and prices. Their staff were all welcoming. I highly recommend shopping here.

One of the best Tesco outlet in UK, staff always go out of box to help customers. Keep up the same support guys !

Staff are always so polite and helpful

5 stars in terms of supermarket (although certainly not a leisure trip!). Probably the best supermarket store in Colchester, always has plenty of stuff in it, has a pharmacy, travel money kiosk, cafe, reasonably sized clothing area etc. Been coming to this one for a few years and sometimes drive futher to come to this one than some of the ones on my doorstep. As with most stores there is busy periods (ie. Xmas) but the traffic flow in and out seems to work OK so not loads of delays..!

Very good for anything and a very big car park

Loved my shopping experience in here. Got a number of clothes on sales and the quality seems to be pretty good.

Use this shop weekly and have done for years and unfortunately broke down with a flat battery outside the shop on New year's Eve and couldn't get home, a lovely security lady came to our rescue, rounded up her team and jump started our car so we could get home.
If this isn't customer service I don't know what is.
I will never forget this in a hurry as it was -1c outside and I had my wife and kids in the car.

Huge selection of produce both fresh, frozen, canned, dried. Good bakery and patisserie. Large selection of freshly baked bread 🍞🥖 and rolls. The soda bread is very yummy. Good range of fresh desserts, their cheesecakes are particularly delicious. Tesco clothing department has very modern styles for men, women and children at reasonable prices.

Just wanted to give a shout out to the click & collect team, they are so helpful & friendly lately! I just switched back to Tesco for my groceries due to the price matching initiative & I'm so glad I did, other supermarkets give you loads of substitutes for your products, it gets a bit irritating, hardly any the last few shops I’ve done at Tesco. You’re doing a great job team, things are stressful but, it makes all the difference 😊

I regularly go to this Tesco since moving nearer to it, and it is a brilliant store, however I believe that the staff are what makes this store so amazing! I recently had a problem with my car, the battery died in the car park so I went into the shop and asked if it would be okay for me to leave my car there for the night, as the car park has a maximum stay. I then asked if there is a possibility that anybody would be able to jump start my car if not, thinking that there's a chance that there might be a delivery driver available or something like that. I was speaking to a man named Ollie, and he spoke to his manager about the situation and sorted it so that he could come and jumpstart my car! I wasn't expecting anybody to be able to do it, never mind have somebody do it so willingly just to be helpful! Ollie was incredibly friendly, and went completely out of his way to help me with my car, which he absolutely didn't have to do if he didn't want to! He did everything for me, as I'm pretty clueless when it comes to cars, and he was so helpful, he got my car started again and then advised me on what to do next! I can honestly say that this was the best customer service I have ever recieved, I'm so grateful for the help and his willingness to do so!! I really hope that Tesco recognise the outstanding employee's that they have!!

I visit this Tesco almost everyday as it's my local store. It's always neat and tidy with plenty of stock to hand. Parking is ample and the staff (huge shout out to Lolly, who can usually be found making everyone smile at the self service checkouts) are always friendly, efficient and courteous.

Great Tesco, always has a large selection of finely crafted bread !

Having been given completely the wrong information for keeping my old phone number I ended up changing new number onto old SIM card SIM. I hasten to add that information wrongly given was from the Banbury store. Many thanks to a very helpful, patient and polite staff member called Lee who spent ages on the phone trying to sort the problem out for me. After being cut off 3 times he eventually succeeded. Once again Thank you Lee your help is worth more than the 5 stars the review allows.

This store is a great place to shop, with friendly staff to help you find whatever you need!! The store itself has Harris & Hoole coffee shop. It has a good range of clothing products etc... (F&F). Also there's a phone shop, Vision Express, Pharmacy, Fish and Meat counter, cheese and a hot counter. It also houses a Bakery, at the back of the checkouts there is Virgin holiday shop. Just inside the store is a photo shop. Just outside the store is Timsons shoe repairs and key cutting shop. The store has a very big car park. Outside has a petrol station and bottle banks. The store has a post box and free phone taxi service.

Fantastic shop large and easily laid out never seems to be super busy either and parking is always easy as their is a separate car park for family’s to use

Tesco Highwoods .though we do not shop at thsi Tesco regularly we have found staff very helpful and friendly . particularly customer service whom are welcoming and take a genuine interest!

Well organized. Not too crowded. Nice place to shop

Staff are very helpful and always on hand. Can be expensive but that's the price of convenience
