The staff at Waitrose Okehampton are outstanding, especially Kay in Customer Services. Today I had to do some John Lewis returns, sort dry cleaning and do a weekly shop. Kay went above and beyond - she sorted my returns, wrote them up, found packaging for them, printed the address and gave me receipts! She then sorted my dry cleaning. After my shop she was on the till - amazing energy, huge patience and very pleasant. 5 stars from me! The store is also excellent as it carries a wide range of good quality food, alcohol, cleaning items, household items, seasonal goods and books and magazine. The store also has a small cafe.

Great place to shop and the prices are very competitive with a great range of products. Some of their food is on a par with and very similar to M & S. Highly recommended, worth the drive.

clean and tidy well run food store with friendly and very helpful staff,good carpark but due to location can be time consuming to leave during peak times. Buy if your visit is timed outside these times can be a very pleasant shopping experience nice little coffee shop.

I live the quality of goods in Waitrose. Fruit, veg, all top quality. I love their American Cheesecake. One of my favourites. I only buy from there when it's a good price. I don't blindly, without care, just chuck in my basket all I want. I am not rich enough for that. But there are some things here you just can't get anywhere else. So I love my visits and feel posh having a membership card. Role in the day the cafe is open again as I am missing my afternoon coffee and cake there while I read a newspaper.

The two women on the help desk this morning were so kind and helpful. Came in for click & collect, was in a bit of a fluster and they couldn't have been nicer. Thank you both so much for your help.

Plenty of stock in store. Polite staff. Lady on Scan & shop was, as always, very friendly. CAFE was lovely and clean with an offer on Soup and a roll with a coffer

A perfect supermarket, such a pleasant experience to shop there. A great range of produce plus very friendly helpful staff. Don't forget your reusable cup for a free coffee!

A wonderful experience. As I was checking out, partner happened to comment on my shopping which was obviously a small party buy. I replied that it is my mother-in-law's 75th birthday and a family celebration, she immediately asked me to "wait there" and disappeared, only to return with a lovely pot of miniature roses as a gift for M-in-L. However embarrassing this may have been, it was a lovely gesture and I'm sure it will be appreciated and enjoyed. Full marks for customer satisfaction. I only regret having missed the partner's name.

I needed to return goods which whilst in date, were not fit for consumption. I did not have my receipt with me but there was no quibble. I was treated with the utmost respect and politeness and my goods immediately replaced.

Shopped this evening to buy ingredients for a dog friendly birthday cake and needed help to find wholemeal flour. The assistant was extremely helpful and took the time to ask us what breed of dog we had and how old he will be which was lovely, she really showed interest. We kept on shopping for other items around the store and we were choosing easter eggs when the assistant that had already helped us appeared again and gave us a bag of treats for our doggy. The lovely lady was called Mandy and she really made our evening for the really lovely and thoughtful gesture. Great customer service can be forgotten sometime but Mandy was a shinning example for great customer service. Thank you Mandy, our doggy will certainly enjoy his treats😊

I was looking for kimchi and they had two varieties of fresh kimchi and it was on offer!

A good sized Waitrose in the centre of Okehampton. Quality produce and staff as always with Waitrose. Remains the premier supermarket for miles around.

The store continues to surpass all others around. Staff still amazing.
Update Aug 2023:
New larger Self checkout allows for faster shopping experience. All is good.

Brilliant helpful chap at the cycle hire .. map, bike Brilliant! Such a beautiful cycle from okhampton station to Lydford.. views from viaduct was amazing ...cafe a few miles up was lovely ..perfect place where I enjoyed a cold coffee with ice 😍😍highly recommended

Following an operation recently I was getting help from my daughter at the check out and found the staff lovely especially the cashier who brought me a bunch of flowers whilst we were having coffee.
Generally I love the choice and special offers that Waitrose provide and the staff are always polite and helpful. Well done.

Typical small Waitrose branch. Cafeteria was good and the usual range of groceries and drinks. Car park is payable but part refunded when you purchase.

The woman at the checkout this afternoon needs recognition. There was an elderly man in front of me. He was frail and possibly a bit confused. She showed care snd compassion and treated him with such dignity. I so hope that I get the same care when I am that stage in my life x

I went early 8am, not sure how it is later in the day during this Covid regulating year..No need to queue, well stocked and easy to shop and pay. I was in and out quickly with a huge basket. The staff are always very very helpful

As always Waitress are doing a excellent job in the circumstances, the staff are doing all.they can to be helpful, the hygiene level is good and the shelves as far as possible are well stocked. There is another supermarket close by and there customers are saying, it's like shopping in a kamikaze covid area. Well done.
