Excellent advice provided to help me purchase a cordless electric mower and batteries to suit my needs. I am delighted with my new Stihl mulching lawnmower and the excellent price charged by Robson and Cowan. Brilliant and professional service.

If you time yourself going around town in a car, as you sit at a red traffic light watching the clock tick, Bypass ulez and stationary traffic and use a shop that's simply got better stuff at real prices. In a place that's a drivers dream to reach and it's 30 mins away. Which is as close is the Quay is Timewise. Its my kind of place

I'm a big fan of Robson and Cowan. When I first moved to the wilds of Northumberland, almost 20 years ago, I was amazed to find such a large, well stocked hardware shop that could also sell me some hiking boots, a wheelbarrow, satellite dish (with installation), fridge freezer or smart TV. Their prices are surprisingly competitive.

Amazing store! Sells literally everything, but a real alladdins cave for those with country and equestrian interests; there is such a huge range of stable yard and horsecare kit, and tack, feed and bedding. Competitively priced and excellent, friendly service.

We needed an integrated dishwasher to replace one (bought elsewhere) that had ceased to function. I phoned firstly to check on additional costs (installation and removal of the old one) then, having chosen a replacement, I phoned back to check possible delivery. The chosen machine was in stock and, after a quick check, it could be delivered the very next day. Wow! Delivered and installed within 24 hours of first contact. All staff, in store and the installer, were friendly yet efficient and professional. Future purchases will be made here.

This place really is the best country store. It has EVERYTHING. Clothing, farm supplies, kitchen white goods.... Bought a new cooker - supplied and fitted, took the old one away, job done.

TV didn't work at our holiday let and they sent out their engineer on a Friday evening after he had finished another job. Living in a remote area what fantastic service as they certainly came to our rescue

Worth a drive out just to see a 'proper' business at work. Great range of products available, fantastically knowledgeable staff, competetive prices and, above all, the best customer service around.

I rang for a quote for a robotic mower for very steep hill with some rough terrain. Quote was good and very comparable with best internet prices, so I went ahead and week shorn-e sheep 435X was installed. Installation was perfect and fantastic aftercare. Thanks Keith and the team. Working results better than expected.

I had heard good things and they didn't disappoint. Their prices match Web and £20 for delivery and fitting washing machine was brilliant. The waste water pipe was too short and the two guys went to the local DIY shop to buy one and then fit it. Also gave me advice on using the machine. Very impressed with this company. Fully recommend them and will use again.

A great shop for much of your outdoor needs. I bought a hedgecutter here. Staff were excellent and friendly, answered all my questions and had great in depth knowledge of the machinery they were selling. Would recommend to anyone. It's worth a visit even if you just need a new broom or some compost.

Fantastic Country Store catering for all your needs. Excellent range of Garden Machinery, ATVs, Domestic Appliances, Clothing, Animal Feed and General Supplies. Very knowledgeable and experienced staff always willing to help. If you haven't been it's well worth a visit. 👍

Getting my generator serviced involves a 140 mile round trip. Why? Because I trust R&C to do a good job that’s why (and also to have a nose around the store ;-) )

Fantastic range of country clothing, ironmongery, stuff for the garden, equine requirements. Tools, machinery, electrical goods. And the people there are so knowledgeable and helpful. I live in Newcastle and my daughter lives in the Borders; we both find it's well worth a visit.

Robson Cowan is the ultimate country store. It's pretty big, but the owners seem to have discovered the art of housing more stock than is possible. It is jam packed with just about every quality tool and hardware device you can think of along with any amount of electrical equipment of all kinds, huge lawn mowers and endless garden products. There's also a country clothing section which seems to also house more than is humanly possible. It has an impressive range of outdoor country clothing of every kind. It takes quite a while to get through this mind blowing visual assault on the senses, but it's all very enjoyable and extremely interesting. It's a family run business and there's quite a few of them so when they're not running the business you know what they've been getting up to.

I always get great service at Robson and Cowan. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff know their stuff.
