B&Q Reading

The most helpful person on the collection counter today. I didn't realise dogs weren't allowed in so they helped with my orders. So lovely!

The B&Q on the Gateway Retail Park is a huge store. The store pretty much has everything you could wish for. Plants and shrubs etc are always good quality so this is really a mini garden centre along with everything else. Men (and women) can stand and daydream in the tool isles. Women (and men) can stand and daydream in soft furnishings. I do both and the garden centre. Yep you can pretty much get anything you want here for your DIY home or garden project. There are now updated self scan checkouts that work well. The staff are usually friendly and pretty cool. Recommended.
Tip: Click & Collect and Customer Services are just inside the main entrance and to the right.

I bought many of my DIY goods here over many years, including my mother's kitchen. I remember one time, emailing B&Q Helpdesk about rag-rolling painting and emulsion special effects. When I arrived at the paint counter at B&Q, I found that the person serving was the very person who had read and replied to my email. Thusm she understood my requirements EXACTLY and was able to give very specialist advice and we bought absolutely the right products foe the paint effect desired. Attached are photos of my mother's (very small) kitchen, which I purchased here.

THE best B&Q I've been to. Such a good selection and the DIY man's Mecca... We always come away with things we didn't know we needed... This visit was to secure our garden for our new family member...😀🥂

Amazing customer service from Mandy and the customer service team on tills! Our plant went yellow and we were extremely upset, Mandy was very apologetic and understood our concerns. She apologised and organised a refund for us, it was a very positive experience and we always love visiting this B&Q. The staff on the till are very helpful and always willing to help. We love the quality on the lights from B&Q and have purchased multiple for our new home 🏡 Thanks once again team.

We went to the kitchen design appointment this morning and the staff Gemma was very helpful, explained the details of the material and the options of different products. Also, she did her best to accommodate our needs and provided suggestions for us to consider.
The experience is delightful and highly recommended.

A big store with a great selection of timber, drove from Oxford as these guys had the 6 different sizes I needed. Obviously you have to select your thinner pieces carefully as many are warped, but I got what I needed. Pretty much everything was where it should be with a price, so much better than homebase!

Thank you Sean who was working in the tile section on Thursday afternoon. What an absolute star. My elderly parents were in B&Q to choose bathroom tiles and Sean was extremely patient and helpful. He loaded up a flat bed, took us to the tills and helped load up the car. Really impressed with his customer service. The tiles were good too.

Had a cheaper floor steamer then Currys so that's decent. Had Philips hue bulbs too

First class delivery team. Supian and Gurpreet are a credit to your company brand. They definitely went the extra mile.

Just had an amazing experience in the plant section, overwhelmed by choice and great service. Charmaine had passion and knowledge for plants, she was an amazing help. Went in to get some compost and came out with a trolley full!

Great staff, great products. Great garden centre. I got the cable ties and limes scale cleaner I wanted amazing how they have items you forgot you need or would have like cosmeceuticals.

Helpful staff who gave us good ideas on what we can do with our existing broken garden tools and fix it. Good options to choose from. Been here couple of times and have always a good experience to get what we want and with different options.

Visited with limited time and the better halves supervision luckily.
The place is huge and full of shinny things for many a project you didn't know you wanted to do until you walk those well lit isles of echoey goodness....

Have been trawling tile warehouses for kitchen tiles for weeks now with the wife and getting all tiled out. We just happened to be in B&Q when I realised they also do tiles. Well my nightmare of tile shopping came to an end when we found exactly what we needed and at a fair price.

Well equipped store. The paints and decorating department has such a huge selection of colours. Just dont ask the guy in store for his opinion on the colours as he will not give you an answer. Moreover you might accidentally buy yellow instead of the real colour ;) All the other departments are good, i especially like the fill up a sealy bag full of screws of any size,

Amazing product range. Found the perfect curtains. Will return with The Boss to decide and buy some...🎨🤭

Good diy super store with all the needs for home repairs and also gardening needs. Got car 🚘 parking.
