Great service from these guys, again. Took my bike in for a service and tubeless conversion. Fast turn around time and lots of patience with a newbie like me who's trying tubeless for the first time. Thanks for the excellent service!

Quick reliable service, dealt with multiple issues quickly and had great knowledge which helped resolve a persistent issue with the sram xplr groupset!

Nothing was an issue either which made rectifying the persistent issue much easier!

These guys are stars. I’m up in Newcastle to race today and find that my tubular tyre is damaged. These guys fortunately managed to have one available when all other shops didn’t. It’s now fitted and I can rest prior to the start of the race. Thanks guys.

Giant have been a pleasure to deal with right through this pandemic. Been back today for my bike fit which was part of the deal when purchased it. Looking forward to getting out to feel the difference.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE
With all the difficulties that this sector has had to cope with over the last 2 years, it is refreshing to share my latest experience at this store.
When out on a ride last week, my Giant Defy started giving problems with the gear shifter. I called into the shop on my way home expecting to be told to book an appointment to get investigate the issue. Especially as it was after 4 on a Friday ! It was a nice surprise to have someone listen to my explanation before taking the bike into the workshop to try and fix it. The mechanic wasn’t able to fix my issue as the part is now discontinued but came out and talked to me explaining about possible options before we decided the way forward. He then managed to fix it and I was on my way home within an hour. My ride today confirmed the gear shifting works perfectly again.
I always recommend Giant Newcastle for their personal attention. I have used Mark’s team for over 20 years and have no reason to change now.
Super Service !

I’m so very grateful to all the team at Giant for helping me through the process of buying an electric bike yesterday. I’ve always been impressed with their ability to deal with the range of inquiries they get from complete novices like me to those who are asking more technical questions; it’s certainly a bike shop for everyone. It’s clear from the quality of what they sell as well as their knowledge, expertise and patience that their aim is to equip their customers with bikes that will give years of cycling pleasure. My particular thanks go to Mark for his patience and support in ensuring every detail of the bike was right for me and in giving me the confidence to get back on two wheels!

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff with a wealth of bike knowledge. Despite having difficulties sourcing parts (due to Covid and Brexit), they went out of their way to build a custom bike ready for my holiday in Scotland. It is a fantastic bike and the free bike fitting service meant that it fits perfectly. Would thoroughly recommend it to all!

Been a patron of this excellent shop for years as from day 1 they have given knowledgeable advice in all aspects of cycling from new purchase to maintenance and upgrades on components,
They are passionate and all staff are very friendly and helpful and even in very busy periods (due to returning customer base)
they will do the best to sort any issues out asap.
I have had 2 higher end cycle purchases and a few worn components replaced my TCR giant still giving great performance after over 8 years since new !
Highly recommended !

Picked up my TCR recently and over the moon with it! Just been for my first ever bike fit with Chris fantastic service, great attention to detail and very knowledgeable. So glad bought through them and not an online retailer. Thoroughly recommend them!

These guys were amazing last month helping out my husband and I when my husband's bike wheel 'gave up' and our cycling holiday came to an abrupt standstill!
A 'bike genius' called Tony actually 'built' my husband a new wheel as none were to be had from Giant! The service we received from this guy and the sales team was first rate. A couple of hours later we were on our way, biking trip saved.
Cheers Tony and the team 👍

I bought my Giant Liv bike from the store several years ago and love it - but I was missing the lower gears I get from my mountain bike. I’m not great on hills. I took my bike in last week to enquire about new gearing. The guys were very helpful - we had quite a chat about how and what could be achieved and I never felt patronised despite my lack of techy knowledge. I decided to go ahead. Fortunately all the parts needed were in stock as I know there have been great difficulties getting bike parts and bikes this last 12 months or so with the pandemic.
I collected my bike yesterday and having been out for a test ride I’m absolutely delighted with the results. Really smooth quiet chain and precise smooth gear changes. And I got up the hill that usually defeats me without getting off.
Thanks for your help guys. You are superb.

Marvellous service in helping me work out what I needed from a bike and then identifying, adjusting and sorting my lovely new cycle. I'm delighted. Big thanks to Mark, the manager.

Mark’s knowledge and advice was invaluable in my purchasing a road bike, he explained the differences of the bikes clearly and impartially.
Once I’d chosen the bike it was ordered and set up for me within three days, again Mark made sure I was happy and comfortable with the bike prior to me purchasing it.
A bike fit was also included in the sale.... Exceptional customer service from my LBS, thank you.

Easily the best bike I've ridden. Lovely guys, doing it for all the right reasons.

Very affordable repairs & modifications, this isn't the kind of place to add hidden costs or do work without checking in - like so many of the repair shops do.

Well respected in the biking community, only heard good words about them, when I asked about.

I was served by one of the owners when I bought my first bike. I had so many questions as I was completely new to cycling. He really took his time to make sure I felt comfortable with the choice of bike and trusted him enough to know that he was indeed the expert on bikes and wanted me to enjoy riding so would only sell me something I would love. Not once was I hurried or subjected to the 'hard sell' suggested by a previous review. I received a one to one bike fit (free of charge) which gave me confidence to know that once I started to ride the bike it would be comfortable, I would not suffer from wrist pain or a strained back. My bike also received a free service after the first 6 weeks. I've been back a few times to buy kit and accessories, and recently I purchased a new road bike as the cycling bug has bitten; every single time the service I have received has been impeccable - you know the type, "Yes, we can do that for you madam." Hence my 5 star rating.

Great place for pretty much all disciplines of cycling. Super knowledgeable guys that will give insightful and honest advice for both bike sales and repairs. Helped me out loads of times when I've needed my bikes fixed. Good little cafe too.

Great service. I Facebook messaged the shop not really expecting a reply for a while but got an out of hours response from Carl who was really helpful. I was after a few frame rubber grommets for my TCR which were only worth a few quid but he went to the trouble of identifying exactly what I needed from the photos of the frame I sent and managed to source and then post them out to me. Very happy. I've always had good dealings with this shop and I'll definitely use them again.

Excellent customer service. They have helped me out twice when I had mechanical issues during bike rides, fixing the problems while I waited. Just had my road bike in for a service, very happy with it. Staff extremely knowledgable - would recommend this store to anyone. Thank you Giant!!

Bike fitting by Chris. Very knowledgeable explaining what he was doing and why. Spent plenty of time sorting me out making a number of changes to my bike set up.
I would suggest that any regular cyclist would benefit from a professional bike fit. Giant Store offer an excellent service. It was value for money and no attempt to sell me gear not needed. To finish off I rode just under 50 miles the same day and another 20 plus today. No aches or pains and 5 minutes taken off my fastest time on my regular route. Whats not to like
