SPAR Birkdale

It is run by real friendly people it's always clean there are dividers and staff wear masks and u get a free hot drink before 9am with a purchase. It's one to know for the work lads. A hot bacon butties and a coffee, latte, it's fab. Good store good grub good staff.

Fantastic place to shop, recently renovated to a high standard and now with it's in house butcher (Graham Eyes) makes this a must place to do your local shopping at.

Great local supermarket. Very helpfully and friendly staff.

Redeemed a scratch card for £20 took the money and walked out got in the car realised it had writing on so went back in and said this has got writing on it and he said ‘ I never gave you that because it’s not legal tender ‘ when he literally did

I've been a customer for several years, and am saddened to leave a poor review!
Firstly be aware if you park on their forecourt, you will be ticketed if the traffic wardens are about. On complaining, they mess you about and give no explanation or apology. My second gripe is some of the till staff have no manners....whispering and sniggering about customers is downright rude and unprofessional. A please and thank-you doesn't cost anything either!The butchers and bakery are always pleasant and this review in no way reflects on them.

Difficult rude female staff member along with supervisor. Making it impossible to collect a delivery via yodel even with proof of email delivery wasn’t good enough. Still insisted I had need a barcode for collection which unfortunately I’ve not received but I can’t access what I’ve bought as I only have a tracking order.

You need to retrain your deli staff at Clayton park to the standards set by the ormskirk branch. They are absolutely terrible at making sandwiches and this is the second time I’ve been and the thing is just a mess. Ormskirk Clayton park are absolutely spot on delicious sandwiches. Seems to be no care when making them.

SECOND VISIT to the spar deli. And the attitude of the foreign woman serving me was almost as if I was an inconvenience to her asking for a sandwich to be made. What a rude place I am never using that Clayton park deli ever again at birkdale.
