M&S Simply Food

What can I say about this M&S food hall that hasn’t already been said. Apart from the extremely difficult road condition getting in everything else is stacked in its favour. A car park right outside its front door, clean fresh and fully stacked shelves, polite smiling and helpful staff in the shop ( the cafe seems to lack volume of staff sometimes which causes frustrating ques into the shop).
The 2 dine for £10 is alwYs a fantastic deal and one to get extra shoppers through the door. As you will see from my pictures I took today. I actually bought the deal and was amazed at what you actually get for £10.
The o LG thing I think M&S are lacking as a company in general is a home delivery option. Not everyone has the time and energy to go food shopping and whilst M&S show what food is on offer in there food halls on line they do not deliver where as all competing supermarkets do, even Morrison’s.
In general I couldn’t fault M&S food hall. Give me this over a packed Tesco with screening kids on a Saturday morning any day.

The assortment, layout, and everything in this store just makes sense! Everything is grouped together, for example the steak and next to it are the sauces that go with it. The produce and everything is fresh, and the shelves aren't a mess.

For example, in tesco, you have to go to three different isles which are too far away from each other so you can get the ingredients you need, but at M&S, everything is nicely put together, and you don't have to walk too far away to get what you need. It makes things so much easier. Your store is also very inclusive for people with autism because it's not confusing, neither too loud. The restrooms are clean, they don't rink of urine like other supermarkets', and honestly I thought your store was built new but aparently has been there for years when I asked the manager. I'm Impressed! Can't wait to do my shopping there soon!

A foodies paradise. Our Saturday night treat. A stunning range of delicious food from the far corners of the world. A hot bakery and in store coffe shop with smells to just enhance the taste buds. You can done for two or feed the whole family and our recommendation is the rectangular pizzas in the coloured boxes. They are better than most pizzeria options, deep filled, no crust and loaded with ingredients, simply simply lovely....

20.12.200 Such a good location, so easy with parking. Don't have to lug food around the city.
Most popular food is here, gin bottles £19, Christmas biscuits, Christmas food, popular bakery items.
Not a massive range of everything but handy if you are wanting to top up your shopping.

I had ordered a food platter for adults and another for babies/young children for my daughter's 1st birthday. We were disappointed to hear that due to the bad weather that we have had the delivery lorry hadn't arrived at all that day. The friendly and very helpful staff from the store called around to all Norwich branches and put together a very nice selection of food and even delivered it to the venue in time for when the party started. The food was excellent. This is customer service at its finest. Highly recommended!

Although not my local store, we went here today to collect a celebration cake that was ordered online. This store was very clean and tidy and, despite not being huge in size, had a remarkably good range of food, as well as a café area. The staff who served us were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

Went to self service with a beautiful lady who helped me with some rice there was also a customer who wanted a spider killed in which i killed it the staff member was so nice and put the spider in the bin, i didn't quite get the staff's name but if i did i would've asked for her number and gave her a kiss

Very handy M & S you can even order something (online) and collect here to save going into the City. We get all food essentials here and you can even stop for a coffee and snack. Parking is free.

We did the Christmas food shop here and it was so easy. Staff were so helpful, helping to organise the big queues that were forming, making it a lot less stressful than I thought it would be. Food was great as well, my Christmas dinner got a 10/10 from my partner

Love this store, just food and a coffee shop. There's a great choice of food and it's quite a roomy store (except at Christmas, when it's jammed with specialty foods!). The cafe is stocked with their own foods which does mean temptation is but an aisle away!!! 😂
I always do my Christmas shopping here and also my works shop as well. We're never disappointed, especially by their fresh meats. There's plenty of choice and some unusual foods as well. There isn't a huge frozen food section or fresh bread, but the fresh fruit and veg is an average sized area, ready for meals and sides are plentiful and the cold cuts, fish and staples are if not plentiful, at least a reasonable selection available.
There are newspapers, magazines and cards near the door and also fresh flowers and potted plants.
Cash register wise, it's a bit hit and miss, there isn't always a register free, they will bag for you if you ask though. You need to take your own bags as you have to pay for theirs as per usual now. There are self service tills and these are usually under used, as it seems people prefer the personal service of a cashier. There is also a customer service desk. At the rear of the store are public toilets and these are well maintained, there is a roomy disabled toilet too, which is always a plus in my experience.
All in all, if the only things you want from M&S is food this is the perfect store to visit. Obviously it hasn't the range of the St Stephen's shop but the up side is you can park nearly at the door, if you're lucky. The cafe is on the same floor. There aren't frazzled clothes shoppers looking dazed and irritable milling around, there are rarely short tempered husbands, sons, partners, demanding " hurry up and weren't we just coming in here for food not knickers!!!" 😂.

Excellent quality food, if you look closely there are bargains to be had. Prices reduced at the end of the day. Staff are very well trained and polite, as you would expect from Marks and Spencer.

Love the food, may cost a wee bit more but it's such good quality it's worth the extra. Nice clean shop, friendly staff, with a great wee cafe.

Great variety, fair prices. Wish we had a Marks & Spencer back home in America - would trade any five of our chains for one M&S.

This is a large food hall only, offering a huge range of quality grocery items and all of the usual high quality standard that M&S sets. A little pricey but generally worth the extra.
