Cox and Pierce Antiques

This morning Martin delivered my restored french polished dining table, it took my breath away. Its absolutely stunning!
A huge amount of respect, skill and attention paid to it's careful restoration. I cannot recommend the skill sets high enough.

Really fantastic selection of antiques across two showrooms in a truly stunning setting next to Shugborough Hall.

The two chaps (Cox and Pierce I assume) that run it have a real passion for what they do and when I visited where eager to show me some of their many restoration and upholstery projects they're undertaking in the workshops where there were getting everything from chaise longues to grandfather clocks in top top shape.

Don't expect anything too modern here, as not much seems to be less than 100 years old. It has however got a great mix of furniture, clocks and lighting that sit alongside some brilliant quirky curiosities. I snapped up a gramophone, bowler hat and Victorian cartridge case at a very reasonable price and probably half that of what I'd pay in London.

Thoroughly recommended if you're in Stafford!
