Our top place for our Halal meat and all our spices and Eastern supplies like rice and chapatty flour etc.
Reasonably priced, good selection, friendly staff.
Meat from the Castle butchery inside is always fresh and they will prepare it just as you want it.
We travel over 20 miles from home to shop here.

Good range of food options whatever your diet. Plenty of well priced spices, rice's and noodles plus frozen goods.

If you're a local it's definitely a place you need to visit. I'm always in here picking up naans for dinner or fresh groceries for the next big meal. The staff are friendly and can point you in the right direction if you're a little lost. They have frozen samosas!

I love this store. It was and continues to be one of my favourite shops since moving to Colchester 10 years ago.
Theres lots of parking and i think it's one of the only stores like this that you could still get a wheelchair round. Good job. They host a butchers at the back of the shop and a recent rejigging appears to offer a wider range of contact wear now too.
Theres lots of parking but apparently your not allowed to park here to use the chip shop which seems very unsportsman like for supporting other small businesses. Perhaps they could offer a 15 mun window before issuing penalties

Lovely shop with a great selection of food and spices. Even has a butchers. Lovely staff and good prices. Plenty of fresh ingredients too. Defo recommend if you into making curry's and carribean food.

Parking outside, hand sanitiser provided at entrance. Friendly and informative butchers inside. Lots of lovely fruit and they have plantain.

Love this place. Every spice, pulse, bean and grain you'd ever want at good prices. Nice staff, quality world food. Don't know anything about the meat, but it stocks everything you'd ever want as a vegetarian. I have so many spices now, and my cooking has hugely levelled up as a result of having access to so much affordable, interesting food. An excellent addition to Colchester food culture.

What a place? It's like Aladin's Cave with everything you need to make authentic Asian dishes. The staff are by far the most knowledgeable people I have ever met. They are happy to give you recipes for dishes and write them down for you. Then they find you the spices you will need and tell how to cook it. If you get a chance go and see these people and you will be glad you did.

Great "cash and carry" style supermarket with a separate (halal) meat counter, the most diverse choice of rice I've ever seen, spices & herbs, fresh veg, and much more. Friendly, helpful staff too. And free parking (remember to enter your reg on entry/departure from the shop or you'll get fined!). Highly recommended!

Been coming here for years , my regular, been a while as away for business and went in there yesterday and I can’t believe people miss the signs for parking.

First thing I spotted when walking in and it was simple procedure.

The range has got bigger and so much has changed, well done guys keep up the good work.
