DFS Cambridge

Needed a new sofa as ours died a death in the house move and needed one fairly soon.

Ali helped us find a sofa and sort out all the extras (upgrading the cushions and adding on a sofa protection plan). We were looking at one at Sofology but Ali explained that it’s actually owned by DFS anyway just more expensive.

We visited DFS Cambridge to see what they had to offer, following our visit to SCS the day before.

While we were approached fairly quickly, it was in a very relaxed & friendly way, just to say hello and to shout if we needed help.

Store is laid out well and evidence of social distancing measures throughout, in addition to being asked to sanitise our hands on arrival and departure.

Its a large store with a wide range of styles & colours. Looked at various options and there were 2 particular suites/lines that we really liked in their "Resillience" range: the Noah manual recliner suite and the Vinson Smart power recliner suite.

We were approached by Ali who is the assistant store manager.

He provided information about each option and talked through some of the differences etc.

We decided to go ahead on their Vinson suite because it was incredibly comfortable, with some really cool features; go check the range out on their website, very very good!

Ali helped us make the interest free credit application and explained all the details to us very clearly, along with the protection and cover available at an extra cost (which was very reasonable) and the lead time for delivery and associated cost (again, reasonable).

He sent us on our way, promising to let us know before close of business what the outcome of the credit application was.

True to his word, he called us towards the end of the day to confirm it had all gone through etc.

The shopping and buying experience was very good. I will update the review following delivery, to advise on the delivery experience and whether everything is in good order with the furniture.

My wife and I were looking for a sofa. The staff were helpful and not too pushy, telling us about the sofas we were interested in. We chose a 3 seater and matching 2 seater sofa. There is a 10 week wait for delivery, but that is OK for us.

This is the third sofa I've had from DFS. Yes they're a bit pricy but they are well built and the spray they cover your sofa in really does repel muck. The service this time was even better than last time. Very happy and will almost certainly be going again in the next 5 to 7 years when I need another new sofa.

My faith in Customer Service is restored.
She was knowledgeable, helpful and nothing was to much trouble.

Alli the assistant manager promptly answered our questions and really impressed us with his no pressure sales technique.
As a result we bought two sofas!

Staff were very helpful, explained to us about if we need anything just to ask them for advice,they didn't follow us around trying to get a sale.

Very nice selection of furniture nicely displayed. Very helpful assistants. Got offered tea whilst deciding what suite to have. Chose suite, negotiated. Being made in Milan..Excellent. Paid deposit when asked on.line, brilliant. Paid balance when asked on.line.notified of delivery, expected between 8 and 5 this Thursday, will text me actual time of delivery day before it is due to be delivered. Excellent would go there again

Another DFS sofa purchased

We had spent time online looking at various furniture suppliers, and decided on Dfs, as they had the sofas which ticked all the boxes for our requirements. We visited the store to look at the items we wanted, and the customer services representative Ben was very helpful in guiding us through the complete purchase. Great quality furniture and superb customer service.

Accompanied my daughter to the store where she bought a lounge suite. She was served by the youngest member of staff, a trainee, who was brilliant. She knows her stuff and took her time in explaining everything to my daughter. She gave my daughter some time before she made a decision. Her hospitality was good, during the course of buying the suite, she gave us some hot drinks.

Dealt with Ali, wasn't pushy and we are very pleased with our new sofa now it has arrived.

Fantastic service by Shubo, helped us decide on buying a large sofa and a recliner chair and were worth every penny. He was very knowledgeable, informative and extremely patient, manager was also very friendly and offered us refreshments. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody looking to buy furniture of any sorts.

Ben was very helpful with his service. Offered us all options with no pressure. Very engaging and down to earth. Will return to him when coming back to purchase further items for our new flat.

I get all my sofa's from here the staff are great very helpful especially Ali he's been there since I can remember he knows his stuff , he's not pushy . They have all the range there so you can try everything and get a good feel for things . The prices are good a 4 years interest free is always good .
