M&S Simply Food

I never write reviews about super markets but I wanted to for this one as Abbas who is working there has always been so kind and helpful without even asking him for his help.

Throughout the years, he has always been smiley but today he made our whole experience much more smooth.

He brought a trolley to my husband and I as he saw we were struggling (to get a trolley you need a £1 coin and we never carry cash). My husband was carrying my daughter and a ton of bags and the trolley was such a big help as we bought many things. Then he saw us in the self check out machines and offered to get someone to the check out till as it would be quicker and easier (also the things would not fit the self check out machines).

Thanks Abbas, you made our day!

13/10/23.Midday. Had a problem with my blood sugar and was feeling dizzy. Lady assistant at the self service check out was amazing. She took me to sit down while she sorted all my shopping out, paid for it with my card and bagged it. Went and got me a chocolate bar as well.I can’t thank her enough. Excellent considerate service.

What a great m and s food hall. Wide range if items. All different price ranges. From essential to finest. Good quality fresh bread and bakery treats with veggies and fresh food. There is a cafe in here too. Also a few sections if clothes too

All staff are polite and friendly. Took my mum in to get a few bits after going for an eye test as she has been self isolating for a year, and for her to chat to the lovely lady on the till called Rachel, she spoke to my mum like she already knew her. She get a 10/10 from us

Food was good. Fruits were mostly fresh. Stocks were supplied to good amount.
Standard M&S food hall and convenient

Our visit was for an afternoon birthday tea at the cafe, of which my friend was organizing, she had not realised that you now need to book for this in advance of your visit. So instead of going away disappointed the manager and their staff offered an alternative, of which we were very grateful for. Even though the cafe was very busy, the manager and his staff could not do enough to make the afternoon tea happen, albeit in a different form, it was beautiful. Thank you.

This last Christmas we were unfortunate to have a family bereavement, when waitrose let us down on the food for the wake my mother went online with M&S and managed to order everything required with very little difficulty.

Flash forward to the day of the funeral, after contending with Monday morning rush hour we got to M&S to find that only half the order had arrived, the other half wouldn't be at the store until 11am.

As you can imagine instantly my mother and I start internally freaking out, my mother quite bluntly said we can't come back we have to leave for a funeral at that time.

At this point we were advised when the second half of the order turned up they would put it in a taxi to get to the venue in time, this however was not the case, the manager of the store personally delivered it ensuring we had nothing else to worry about and could take our time to grieve.

I can't even begin to put into words how grateful we were to you for the kindness you showed us on this hard day, truly above and beyond with the utmost care and consideration for your customers, thank you so much.

Good range of food with plenty of parking. Can pick up items ordered online here for free, but can't return to this store.

Normally not much wait with the self-service checkouts, and staff are helpful.

Excellent service as always

You pay a premium but you buy really good quality food. I had a beef joint the other day and it was succulent and very tasty. Friendly service and friendly staff.

Love the food from this shop. Better quality price ratio than some other shops. If you pay more it is because you are getting better quality so less wastage. Like it for my weekly shop.

I love this store, plenty of parking, long opening hours, lots of choice, and a small selection of clothing/home items. Being out of the city centre, it's generally much easier to get to and rarely has queues for the tills.

Purchased some fruit in here and it actually tasted as it should, Raspberries were the best I've tasted this year and strawberries that were as good as pick your own, another bonus was they didn't cost any more than Tesco or Sainsbury's.

Great food store with all M & S quality. Very busy at Christmas but great staff on hand to help. Good parking.

Great place for a a quick break and good coffee

Good size, well stocked M&S food hall. Nice cafe, that can be busy at peak times. Plenty of parking as part of the Beehive Centre.

Best supermarket in the world ( M & S). This store is great and has everything you would need. The staff are lovely also.

Good place to shop when you want those little things the main Suppermarkets don't stock or a meal for two that you know you will enjoy

Speed for a coffee and tea cake. Less crowded than Costa. Shipping is ok as well.
