Budgens

We went in for few bits that we needed.
Went to till and was served by fenella at 17.52pm on 2/1/24 was serving behind till. She was such a lovely welcoming lady who was very chatty and asked if we got all that we need. She also asked have we had a lovely day which iv never been asked here and it was so lovely for her to want to know how my day was. This made my shopping experience amazing and I left store feeling like I was valued as a customer.
Before joining care work I worked in retail for over 10yrs + and IV never had customer.servive like I had tonight.
Please can management put this positive review across to her as this was A+++++ outstanding customer service. Thank you

2023 Christmas hours not correct in Google.

Mostly closes earlier than usual e.g. 8pm some days (see uploaded opening hours photo). Hope it saves someone a wasted trip!

Life saver - as long as you keep an eye on the prices it's a very convenient store - rather than the trek into town.

Expensive in comparison to big shops but local

Great store for last minute bits, it is pricey but you can pick up some good deals. Great that it has a post office in it too.

Local medium size supermarket/ post office.
This store seems to sell everything and is a very convenient stop off point for all those extras .
Most things are competively priced with the odd bargain but it's never really going to be a competitor for the big boys. It has a large car park with some other shops and services conveniently located next door.
The post office is very good and it is open late most nights.

This is the best stocked local store I have ever seen! They even have a reasonably well stocked American food section.

I had to pop in to get some emergency meat for an impromptu BBQ and they had a decent selection and I managed to get what I needed.

The staff are always cheerful and open tills when there is a queue.

Definitely the best local store if you live in the Great Ashby area of Stevenage.

Fabulous staff, well stocked all round, including great range of fruit and veg. Not the cheapest, but still reasonable. Cleaning products/toiletries often as cheap as budget supermarkets.

Located near the great ashby community centre with lots of parking spaces and close to pharmacy. Store has a nice layout and a good range of products. Can easily do medium household shopping here.

Excellent Great Ashby local supermarket. Opening hours are good and staff are friendly. You pay a little more but have the convenience of not going into town and there is free parking. You can also take in a visit to Circles coffee bar or in the evening pick up a Chinese or fish & chip supper from Fortunes Place, arguably the best in Stevenage, too.

My local supermarket on Grt Ashby, Stevenage. Extremely helpful & friendly staff. Sometimes the prices of certain items can be a bit expensive but they do have pencil offers too. Usually always busy.

Easy parking, lovely little shop, clean and well stocked.

Pleasant staff, good variety of foods and other essentials. Always a pleasant experience shopping from the staff, some of the other shippers are not quite as friendly.

As usual "Very Good & Economic to Buy! I do recommend it, specially if you are a single mum, pensioner or Low Income family/person!

It's a Budgens. It sells everything you'd expect of a local supermarket. It always feels well stocked. Add to that loads of free parking and great staff, then it's hard to deduct any stars.
