Stari Mlin (Old Mill)

Beauty of the nature and the sound of waterfalls, where forest fairies are hiding. Blown away. Very cute place for kids, for stillness of the mind and family moments.

There is also a etno museum here but it is closed every tuesday, so no luck for me.
Just a slow walk around the area is revarding with new sights every 10m.

Very easy to access, worth to see place in Croatia and make a short stop on your way to Plitvice. I was there after 6pm, which was free of parking charge and had the whole place for myself...you won´t spend more than 1 hour and can see a lot of beautiful small or even bigger waterfalls and really cozy village above them.

Adorable little place with great places to stay and wander around the waterways. Picturesque moments and pleasant before all the tourists descend on the place

Rastoke is a beautiful place near Plitvice. This hamlet is surrounded by waterfalls that are in full spate in spring. It's a very good place to stay in this area.

Basically Rivendell. It's hard not to stop if you're driving through. Definitely one of the places you want to go out of your way to stop at while you're in Croatia.

Absolutely lovely place. Worth visiting. Depending on how much time you have you can spend there an hour or half a day. I was just sitting and meditating looking on the waterfalls... Could have spent a whole day there. Neat and clean still looks a wild place. We were lucky, there were hardly people there and I really felt being alone

Yes, yes and yes! Go there! What a village, so unique, so picturesque! We did not go into the paid museum area, but I feel like we still saw a lot without it! Pictures online don't do it justice! We didn't check every restaurant, but there was definitely one further away from the main section .. still on the water and cute as hell... and it's prices didn't seem that crazy.

One of the most beatiful places in Europe

Rastoke village - beautiful little village with houses perched above the river that runs through! It is surrounded by nature and stunning waterfalls. There are amazing traditional buildings and watermills that gives you the look on the past. There are also good restaurants. If you're visiting Plitvice and have the ability to get here (20-30 minute drive) definitely do it!
