Great place for good local and cheap food. Waiters are lightning fast and nice. Try their dessert. They have alcohol free beers.

Pleasant place and delicious food, large portions, excellent service, cheap price. We enjoyed it a lot, even twice.

Home made food, with out ton of solt or old ingridients.
All ingridients are fresh and from chosen food supply.
Its made in Croatian traditional way and its perfect.
We are not cooking at home any more as there is no point till Gastro is here.
And its afordable - meaning cheaper than to cook at home.

Gastro is Zadar's best kept secret from tourists.My boyfriend & I are from the UK & asked our Air b'n'b host for somewhere we could get the best local cuisine and he suggested Gastro & I must say we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and the star dish has to be the veal roast, the meat is succulent and it melts in your mouth. Our waiter Christian, was fantastic he gave us some advice, guidance & recommendations on what to chose. The meal is significantly cheaper than most restaurants in Old town, we paid £15 for two meals and drinks and the customary fresh bread as an appetiser.This place is so good, we had to go back before leaving Zadar.

So pleased we came to Gastro, will be certain to recommend.

The best place for food in Zadar just don't order the cake they were terrible but the food is perfect take it from me I live in this city hold my life
