Wonderful experience, a traditional and warm place with very friendly staff. Many have a lot to offer, you can see the meat being prepared in the backyard and the mushroom soup is the best I've ever tasted! There is also free parking. Warmly recommend!

At the end of season it is one of the few places around that still has the traction and is open. We had dinner two nights in the row. The food is local and well prepared, staff is helpful, polite and speaks good English. They serve only local wines which is very lovely. I definitely suggest white “Pošip”!

The cevapi totally convinced me 💯 It is a local type of sausage made of minced meat, this was accompanied with a thick sauce made of peppers which was tasty (not spicy)! The quality and portions are great while prices are very correct as well. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very local-like and I enjoyed it very much. The staff was welcoming, I recommend ☺

Absolutely fantastic! Richard was our server and did a fantastic job with suggestions. The squid was the best I have ever had, the veal was melt in your mouth delicious, the polichinka and baklava were a wonderful way to round out a delicious meal. I could not have been happier with the food, service and atmosphere! 100% a must try!!!!

Amazing dinner experience at Vila Velebita in Korenica! My server Mladen was so friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was so cozy and nice - just right for the location. I had the Plavac red wine, Cream of Mushroom soup, and Stuffed Pork Loin Filet. It was all delicious! But, the mushroom soup was probably one of the top 5 soups I’ve ever had. Highly recommend anyone visiting the area to dine here!

Restaurant Vila Velebita is a delightful spot with a casual setting, perfect for those wanting a genuine taste of Croatian countryside cooking. The "under the bell" method they employ infuses the dishes with an unmistakably rich and traditional flavor. The spit-cooked meat was a savory dream – so tender and perfectly grilled.

Now, the cheese crepe? Utterly unforgettable. So delicious that it will haunt my culinary memories. I only wish we had such delights in Canada.

The staff was exceptional, making our experience even more special. We were introduced to this gem by our guide David during our private Plitvice tour, and we couldn't be more grateful. The authenticity and Croatian tradition at Vila Velebita was exactly what we had hoped for and more. A visit here is an absolute must for anyone seeking a true taste of Croatia.🍖🔥🥘🥞

A very nice restaurant offering mostly grill food. We tried pasta and pizza and it was very good. It's affordable, service is very good, fast, and they have a nice selection of beers and wines. Loved the Zmajska Pale Ale, a local IPA.

Our experience was excellent. The menu has a lot to offer, and the preparation time of meals didn't disappoint. The waiter was very nice and made sure we were satisfied and weren't lacking anything. The food was good, especially the baklava. Would visit this place again

Stopped here after our Plitvice National Park visit and I must say, the food was phenomenal! Ordered the lamb on a spit meal and the flavours were heavenly, the meat just melted in your mouth, and the potatoes and grilled vegetables were the perfect accompaniment. Highly recommend!

The food is really nice and it is very cozy, even if it rains outside and it is cold, here you have a warm place with great food. We especially recommend the salat plate which is a great side dish with a variety of flavors!

To say this was a good meal would be an understatement. The service was phenomenal, the food was delicious and the plates plentiful. Please order the platters. You will not regret unless you are on a diet and do not want to overeat. 10/10

We are here twice and we’re blown away. This maybe the best meal we have had in Croatia. I started with the cucumber salad, it was so perfectly balanced and delicious. My husband started with the Greek salad, the shaved feta was delightful. Their baklava was really good, if from the states it’s like a combo of baklava and bread pudding. Seriously, a lovely treat. Also, I’d like to comment on the staff, everyone that works here is absolutely amazing, every single person that works here is so kind, accommodating, and makes you feel like family. I highly recommend this spot. A special thank you to our server along with the owner for taking the time to show us all the cool places he’s been. We really enjoyed talking with him, he’s lead a really cool and incredibly interesting life. When we come back to Plitvice we’ll definitely be stopping in.

We found the restaurant because of a recommendation of our accomodation. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious, all the soup and Cevapcici with ajvar too. Hot chocolate and Aperol Spritz were good too.
We'll be back next time.

We stopped by for lunch and had a lovely meal. Service was amazing and very fast with friendly workers too. Food was delicious. We shared a tomato, cucumber and feta cheese salad along with the platter or dishes from the spit and baking bell. For dessert we had the baklava and pancake with nutella. Delicious!

My wife and I and the rest of a tour bus stopped here en route home from Plitvice National Park. With many other tour buses stopped here, it was at first glance a great place to eat. Our tour guide said he suggested the Velebita because the food was very good and the service was excellent. We sat outside under shade at picnic style tables. As soon as we sat down, an English-speaking waiter was at our table, offering drinks and distributing menus. The restaurant has a massive menu and a wide selection of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. I ordered the "rolovani cevapcici" which were finger length beef and pork rolls wrapped in bacon and my wife ordered the local trout filet. Both dishes were outstanding, served hot, fresh and within minutes. Considering the amount of people seated for lunch, this was no mean feat I would give this restaurant the highest rating possible for food and service - outstanding!

We ate the Vila Platter, a mixed grill plate for two, with delicious sausages, cevapcici, pork meat and liver, and razjnic (skewers) on it. In general, food is full of flavors and more spicy than on the shores in any restaurant, which I really like. Sopska salad is great also. This restaurant was not only a pleasant surprise but a very good choice for anyone who is about to eat quality food with perfect service. We will definitely return!

Nice place to have a meal or a drink, it may be a little higher in prices compared to others but the quality is definitely better, considering they are getting their materials from local farmers and producers. The staff is very kind and nice, menus available in Italian, English, German and, of course, Croatian!
