Nice exbition. You can take your time and read about all the fish. They also have an option of audio guide. Alongside aquariums, there is also a historical exhibition about the fort. I especially liked the sea turtles rehabilitation programme. You can buy tickets online and enter through priority line. Overall, pleasant experience and would recommend it.

Aquarium is easily reachable and has a couple of great parking lots nearby.
In addition to sea animals, there is an exhibition regarding the naval history of Istria and Kvarner.
There are a lot of animals to see (sharks, a number of different fish species, corals, seashells, reptiles and jellyfishes).
On top of the aquarium is a nice viewpoint with view of the open sea.
There are a lot of exhibitions that are interactive and everything is described in a rather detailed way, so it's fun and educative at the same time.

Amazing aquatic exhibits... great variety of sea life, fresh and salt water. Small, medium and large to very large tanks, plankton to mid-sized sharks. PLUS, this is a real military maritime history museum at the same time! Amazing. Buy tickets in advance... there were lines that we skipped!

The ticket costs around 20 euro if I am right, and u can visit 2 whole big aquariums. U can see not only sea animals, but historical boats and many else. The parking place is close, and FREE. I REALLY recommend it, enjoyed every moment of it.

A nice aquarium, with a lot of different species. Aquarium combines the history of pula with animals found in different parts of the world. It is also a healing center for turtles.

The aquarium is located in a beautiful environment and space. Nice view from the roof. You walk through the corridors of the fortress on three floors - interesting for children. The ticket (you can also buy it online) is also valid for the second part of the aquarium, which is located a few meters away from the main aquarium (fort). In the surrounding area there are many walking paths and also a few taverns where you can have something to drink and eat. We parked a little lower below the aquarium in a larger parking lot - parking was free.

Wonderful aquarium in a wonderful location. The building of the aquarium is an old citadel which and the mix of marine life with marine military history only adds to the whole experience.

Many animals showned in convienient ways and a naval milatary muzeum to ad to experience. And if tou are up for a walk, some light treking routs and beaches all around. And most importantly, sea turtles.

There were many more tanks than we were expecting! The whole aquarium is divided into two separate buildings, one with mostly Mediterranean exhibitions, the other with exotic species from all over the world.

The tanks were always clean and the fish looked healthy. There's also a butterfly walk-in exhibit and a little playground for children.

Somehow there weren't many people there, only a few larger groups, so we mostly had the whole building to ourselves.

Overall, I would definitely recommend visiting the Pula Aquarium to anyone looking for a pleasant afternoon.

Definitely worth to visit a place. Many animal species, many aquariums. Nice, cold place. Not expensive, 2 persons 34€. You can spend there 2-3 hours at least. If you have claustrophobia, it will be a little hard in some rooms. Our 2 year old daughter was very happy there.

The aquarium in Pula is truly an unforgettable experience. Not only did we have the opportunity to see the underwater world, but the spaces where the aquarium itself is located are amazing. Narrow corridors, history, and ship models enhance the whole experience. Even though we've seen similar aquariums in Budapest or Vienna, this one stands out due to its unique setting and is definitely worth a visit!

The aquarium is amazing. Never been to one with jellyfish. The animals could be better labeled. But otherwise great experience, the people there are realy nice.

Despite it is work in progress, moving some species from one to other location, I was pleasantly surprised, amazing sea life seen up close. Recommended visit!
BTW: just, please, prepare your children to lower the volume inside, as it is quite annoying to listen to children screaming by aquariums.

Huge aquarium with three floors and panorama of the sea at the top. There is a wheelchair lift so it's also available for disabled. Lots of aquarius connected with military history and exhibits of sea ship models, weapons, and uniforms. It is that place where you just have to visit because it is hard to describe. You can buy tickets online and make use of the fast track but in the beginning of June there was no queue to wait. Remember to visit second part of aquaria closer to the parking and bar.

Absolutely worth a visit.

Really nice location in an old fort with a great atmosphere.

You can see a lot of different species of fish and sea creatures.

The price is also really okay.

The former Austro-Hungarian Naval Fortress at Verudela has been recently renovated and transformed into a naval museum and conservation aquarium (the turtle, Anika, was rescued having swallowed a fishing hook (all too common) and after months of rehab is due to be released soon back into her natural habitat). Terrific panoramic views from the top, interesting and lots to see.
