Zvjezdarnica Višnjan

An awesome place to visit if you'd like to experience something a bit different. We listened to a lecture about space and the observatory, visited the dome with the large telescope, and viewed the night sky through a smaller telescope setup in the field in front of the building. This is a perfect place for all the geeks, nerds and science aficionados

Nice, quiet place. Should visit in july/august when it is open for public. Zvjezdarnica is also on the Sova staza for those who want to strech the leggs (7,7 km)

What to say or write... in small Village of Tičan near ,,town" Višnjan and the City of Poreč, Korado Korlević (Korlevich) and his team make astronoms dreams possible without extraordinary money in the small but great observatory made it for asteroids research in the Mars and Venus Space Areal....You must visit this observatory and see teleschope ...search in the sky/clear nights groups of the bright Stars and hear great lectures from Korado and Observatory Team❤🇭🇷

Stopping Stars
It happened before Earth existed. There were falling stars everywhere. Even after a million of years, and after the creation of the Earth, stars were still falling. But one night in ancient Roman Empire, little Johnny was watching falling stars when, out of nowhere, a star stopped. It was not moving. One after another, night after night, stars were stopping. Now, it is rare to see a falling star. But a legend says that one day stars will unfreeze and start falling again.

Interesting place to visit. You should do that if you are near by Višnjan.

Absolutely awesome experience. People who work there are great enthusiasts and they run all on very limited funds, so go, support the amazing work of professor Korlevic and others. They even do summer camps for kids. On Thursdays you can come around 21.30 and watch the night sky through telescope. The place is worldly famous for their small space objects discoveries. And buy some t-shirts, it helps them with going forward with this enthusiastic project. Hear the story about their telescope which was meant to end up on metal scrap yard or enjoy nature and views during the day.

This was our third time ti visit Visnjan observatory, and it is great each time. Korado Korlevic always gets to the point with his presentations

Great day to spend with kids. Big field for chasing butterflies and free running. Lecture by Korado Korlevic about metors and light polution. Cute selection of science souvenirs. All in sync with nature around...
If you want a pecefule place this is it. Make sure to bring warm clotes...gets chilly in the evening.

Peaceful and beautiful place to gaze at the stars and listen to the night birds. The observatory was unfortunately closed (someone was working here) but the staff replied to my e-mail quickly and with all the details needed regarding season's start, opening hour and all. They are enthusiast to hear about people interested in their work and really kind. We will come back for sure.

Wonderfull experience. Nice lady opened observatory just for us and show us a heart of telescope and command center. Thank her for that, great experience.

Loved the place. Korado made a nice presentation about meteors and asteroids. We even saw Saturn with the 🔭 outside...and that elon musk satellites starlink train ..

A must see, the best place for asteroid tracking in Europe. If you are lucky, you will find Mr Korlevic there, a man of great knowledge but willing to share it. Listen to some of his lectures every Thursday evening! 👍
