A place with great view of Danube. It can be a bit too warm without shades on a hot summer day, but you can always retreat to the the town center filled with historical buildings, labyrinth-like alleys decorated with flowers, cafes and souvenir shops. The number of museums and galleries around the town is amazing. Worth multiple visits from Budapest on H5 commuter train without air-conditioning.

We went for a quick day trip from Budapest to Szentendrei and it was probably the most chill experience because you get to appreciate the old town vibe, the clean air, away from the busy city streets.
It’s also a good place to hunt for souvenirs because most are handmade and also cheaper than the ones in the Budapest markets.
It’s also less than an hour away by train, really accessible and best enjoyed by introverts like myself because it’s not touristy. 🙂

Old fashion cool place!!! Many old Serbian churches are sold to other religions.. just few of them are still Serbian original. Beautiful and quiet small old city, worth to visit it!

Such an amazing, old and beautiful town on the edge of Danube river. Buildings are quite different than other surrounding toens.

You can buy clothes, paprika, and other things here. Beautiful decoration and many interesting items like lavender ice cream and so on.

It is a lovely town, colourful, shiny, lovely, and not that much people (at this moment). There are many galleries there, highly recommend to someone who love art.

Fantastic place,it was extremly quite today.We enjoyed walking by the river bank and in the town,too,which has a very unique atmosphere.

This town is so cute and beautiful! It feels like a fairytale walking on these romantic and narrow streets, with flags, umbrellas and other things hanging above your head! It's also the best place to buy Hungarian souvenirs like magnets, paprika and authentic toys.

It was amasing to walk on almost empty streets in April due to the lock down.

Small nice town at suburb of Budapest. One can spend half an day in peace and enjoy its serenity.
