Alsóörs Községi Strand

It's my favorite Balaton beach: a lot of place, shadow if needed, easy access to the lake and all the necessary infrastructure. While some may complain there's payed entry, I must say it's really worth it.

We came after 5pm and entrance was free of Charge. Inside a lot of bars and in some one can use credit card, but not in all. Water is shallow and good for Children. There is also a water sport area (paid extra) and nice playground for Children.

My favorite beach next to Balaton. I might be a bit biased as I already frequented this beach as a child, but on the other hand, I’ve seen the development it went through ever since. While it was barely more than a fenced off area 30 years ago, it has now merged into a beautiful location to spend the entire day with different kinds of activities. Also the stomach is provided for by the restaurants. The prices are still affordable, even though they have considerably increased over the past years. It would be convenient though if they introduced a re-enter daily ticket as now, they require another purchase after exiting. Nevertheless, for me, the Balaton wouldn’t be complete without this beach.

This is a big strand with lots of shady spots in which to unroll one's towel. This is a good thing as it gets very busy when the weather's good. In addition to the many concessions selling typical lakeside food and drink, there are also shops and a host of activities for young and old alike.

The restaurants are great, the price is not that high and you can always find a place. There arent any stones or rocks in the water, and there are even slides, that i have yet to try. Overall a good place.

Nice, well-maintained beach with free parking and wifi. There are a lot of options for food and drinks. Staff at the entrance are usually really friendly. There is a baby changing/breastfeeding room and a shallow, protected part for small children to play and splash about in the water and also two playgrounds and lot of shades...

Good beach for families with young children. There is a sandy beach bay with very shallow water and a lot of and to play with. This is a very rare facility on Balaton beaches in the area. Besides the beach is clean, with a lot of trees giving nice shade. Food options are rather standard - don't expect gourmet eating here. If you want to eat well, better bring the food with you.

Really good place, not too busy, nice beach area for sunbathing and swimming. Beautiful marina area, book online, for a boat trip around the lake area

Lovely grassy beach with shallow water and lots of activities especially for families with children. Good option of beach buffet foods like lángos or fries or fish etc, ice cream and drinks. Free toilet but you pay for beach entry.

Delicious fish soup and fish fillets

Still relatively cheap admission, weekdays were not too crowded.

One of the best beaches. Cheaper than most around the lake, and there are plenty of shady places.

Good for people who want to relax. Not only that but here is the Fogas bufett which serves the best cooked fish in the whole country!
