Ozora Castle

Great historic place in the middle of nowhere. Nicely renovated. Coffee shop and guesthouse on site. Guided tours only in Hungarian. Worthy taking a detour.

Very nice castle with beautiful garden

Visited on Hungarian National Holiday, 23 October so entry was free. The castle is nicely renovated, there is a nice little cafe and rooms are also available.

Best tourguide we ever came across, fantastic value, seriously friendly and helpful staff, we arrived with a motorcycle and they simply accommodated our luggage and helmets. We will be back and rent a room for a few nights for sure

It's a big fun and adventure to live in a medieval castle. Ozora is wonderful and the girls, who care it are wise and lovely. The "Ágota" apartment was confortable and authentic. I enjoyed the kind hospitality. The exhibition is spectacular and professional, the guide was very smart.

Don't forget to ring the bell on your way out ;-)

Pretty little renesasaince castle in the heart of Hungary. The guided tour is part of the entry fee.

Jól eldugott kistelepülés impozáns épülete. Az udvarba belépve egyébként egyáltalán nem tűnik nagynak, viszont hangulatos a sok, ládás citrusfával meg a szobrokkal. Aztán az emeleti idegenvezetés során megdöbbenünk, mekkora is a vár valójában. Szuper a hangulata is, nagyon elkapták a középkori és reneszánsz fílinget. Látszik, hogy rengeteg pénzt öltek bele, és hogy szeretettel meg hozzáértéssel rendezték be a kiállítást. A vezetőnk kedves volt, és érdekes dolgokat mondott. Heten kilencezer forintnál kevesebbet fizettünk, úgyhogy ár-érték arányban is megfelelő. Van kávézó is és mosdó, ha valaki úgy érkezik, hogy várni kell a vezetett vártúrára. Viszont csak olyanoknak ajánlom, akik tudnak lépcsőt mászni. És nincs túl sok parkoló.

Sose írtam ilyet, de a belső udvarban, úgy éreztem magam, mintha abban a korban lennénk, el tudtam képzelni , hogy zajlott az élet anno.
40 perces idegenvezetést kaptunk, élvezetes, élmény volt hallgatni az előadót.
Kicsi vár(?), kastély(?),várkastély(?), de annál szebb.
Aki félti az autóját,az időben induljon,mert 30km/h-val fog közlekedni az odavezető 6407-es úton, "minősíthetetlen".😬
