Delicious food, a must visit for pork lovers. The service is excellent, the waiters are super kind, know English and can warn you about some cultural nuances if you try to speak broken Hungarian like a clueless tourist. Try to make a reservation beforehand because the place is PACKED.

Fantastic place, probably the best restaurant (with Hungarian cuisine) in Pecs! Their spécialité de la maison is ham hock (smoked or roasted). Long menu with many positions eg. super tasty mushroom soup. Perfect ingredients and preparation & amazing service = unforgettable dinner!

We've been travelling around Europe for over a year, and consider this one of the very best diners anywhere. Delicious pork dishes and other local specialities; we recommend the platters - you get brutal quantities of the most delicious pork preparations, along with a range of side dishes for 10€ per person.

Strong recommendation, is the two person platter - much better value than other dishes, and arguably better made. Also, we do prefer this to the (different) 4-person platter, due to different components.

The food is just delicious! Friendly staff and fair prices. But my main point is the portions. O my god!!! I still feel sick because I eat all of them. Highly recommended!

A very great experience at a very authentic Hungarian restaurant. Everything tasted so good and the portions were huge. Not the kind of place to go for a salad, but if you want pork served in many ways, there is no better place.

Excellent food and service. Very big portions, one is enough for two people. We ate roasted duck, red cabbage with prunes and mashed potatoes and onions, grilled catfish, fried sweet potatoes and tomato salad. Everything was delicious. I really recomment it.

Awesome food, big portions, great prices, nice staff.
One negative thing only: they serve Varga wines as their house wines. Varga wines are one of the worst wines in Hungary. I do hope they change that.

Awesome place, awesome food (HUGE portions beware!), Super friendly staff who spoke good English end engaged in conversation. Consider reserving in advance on weekends since it gets waay crowded. Parking spots nearby.

Awesome restaurant!

Very good restaurant. It is clean with a rustic feel; there is a playground for the kids and outside dining during the summer. Everything we tried was delicious!! You have to try the smoked ham hock with the horseradish dumplings....

Great ham. Don't be intimidated by the menu, they have an English menu as well as the normal Hungarian. Anything you order from the goulash to the ham will be delish! Prices are great for the big plates!

Meat-eater heaven! Food here is pretty much all meat, largely focused on pork hock (hence the name). The portions are enormous, many dishes have 1/2 portions that would be enough for most adults—here you get heaps of food on your plate.
It's not just quantity though, we had a delicious late lunch, with enough left over for another meal. Much recommended.
Parking on the east side down a short alley. Playground for kids, and pet-friendly. Free WiFi, smoking tables outside.
