Kikelet Pince & Ízműhely

We had a enjoyable and educational visit to Kikelet Pince Winery in October 2019. This is a small family winery located immediately behind the Andrassy Rezidencia Hotel and Spa, so it is a 1 minute walk. They are open for tastings and a cellar tour without appointment all day long. Our visit was hosted by Agnes, the tasting room manager, and Stephanie, the wine maker. The two took turns explaining their sparkling, dry and sweet wines and wine making philosophy. The wines were wonderful and so was the experience. Put this one on your visit list.

Viktoria was a wonderful hostess and served the wines beautifully. We had the luck and pleasure to meet the winemaker herself, Stéphanie, who gave us a very comprehensive insight into the region and the winemaking itself. We were blessed with an amazing individual tasting beyond what was listed on the menu!

Super nice location. Nice staff and quality wines! I preferred the 3 Gracia Száraz and the Late Harvest 12. We also took some bottles with us for harder days :)

Kikelet winery is in the town of Tarcal (Tokaj region), Hungary. The woman-owned winery has the full range of Tokaj style wines. Almost all Tokaj wines are white wines. If you are not familiar with the range of styles, you will be when you are done with a tasting almost anywhere in the Tokaj region. In brief the wines of Tokaj, run the gamut from dry to some of the world’s most sought-after sweet desert wines, with almost everything in between.

Kikelet winery stands above most in producing wines of superb finesse, structure and grace.

We got to the winery late, after their tasting hours had ended, but we ran into Stephanie (the winemaker) and she graciously allowed us in, gave us a tour of the facilities and presented us a tasting of the full range of their wines. French is Stephanie’s native language, she speaks English well, and obviously, Hungarian. I’m not sure of other languages.

From the beginning to the end we were extremely impressed with the offerings. In particular, the various dry Harslevelu (a variety of grape) were standouts. Admittedly, being from the USA, I am a bit of a novice when it comes to Harslevelu, but I am not when it comes to wine in general. I am so enamored with one of her Harslevelu wines, yet we could not buy any as it is sold out. Some of it she sold somewhere in Montreal, and I may go there (6 hour drive from my house) just to see if I can buy some. I think this winery prides itself, and justifiably so, on its Harslevelu.

Maybe I should not talk so much about the dry wines as the semi-sweet to sweet offerings are just as outstanding. The word that quickly came to my mind when drinking the sweet wines, especially the Aszu, was cleanliness. These wines are clean, and focused, possessing the botrytis quality that all Aszu should have while not being cloying in any way, a virtue I can only describe as finesse.

If you can go to this winery, or just find some of the Kikelet wine, drink some of their wine, you will be very happy for having done so. And did I mention their prices are very reasonable? Maybe I shouldn’t post this review as everyone will go there and the prices will go up and I won’t be able to afford it. Bravo Kikelet!

A great place to try some of the finest Tokaj wines. Small family winery - around 5ha. If you're staying in Tarcal that is definitely the place you have to visit. If you're just passing by, to see the Christ statue, make sure to step in. If you are lucky enough, you'll have opportunity to meet the Mrs. Stephanie. She will guide you with highest pleasure through this beautiful experience - tasting their wines.
Definitely worth every minute!

Besonders die Kellnerin Victoria mit ihrer freundlichen und aufmerksamen Art hat uns sehr gefallen. (Mehrsprachig)
Wir waren sehr zufrieden und würden diese Weinkellerei weiterempfehlen.

Visszajáró vendégek vagyunk. Nagyon hangulatos hely, remek borokkal, finom sütikkel, nagyszerű kiszolgálással. Stephanie összefogva a többi bortermelővel programokat is szervez, az egyiken volt szerencsénk részt venni.

Az év utolsó vendégeként voltunk egy baráti társasággal 2019.11.30.án
A pogácsa, a házi szörp pompás volt, a sajttál felejthető.
A felsorakoztatott borokat sorba-sorba megkóstoltuk, ízlelgettük ( 0,5dl/adag) A sorozat utolsó kóstolás egy 6 puttonyos tokaji aszú volt... Szavakkal nem leírható az íze!
Kiszolgálás kedves, udvarias és még a tulajdonos hölggyel is összefutottunk!
Nyári időben nagyon hangulatos esti program lehet.

Hangulatos helyen, szép környezetben, az Áldó Krisztus szobor felé vezető úton találjuk ezt a családias borozó-kávézót.
Kézműves sütemények, édességek remek kávék, kedves kiszolgálás.

Szép környezetben, nagyon kellemes hely. Nagyszerű borok, sütemények, jó kávé. Hárslevelű tesztelve - Lónyai dűlő. Kiváló! Érdemes betérni mindenképpen!

Nagyon kedves személyzet, hangulatos hely, finom italok, ételek! Nagyon jól éreztük magunkat, csak ajánlani tudom mindenkinek!

Fantasztikus borok, gyönyörű táj és végtelenül kedves emberek! Az a hely, ahova el KELL látogatnod, ha Tokaj hegyalján jársz! Igazi autentikus élmény, a Tokaji borok valódi képviselője!

A kitűnő borok mellett itt csendben megbújik a világ legfinomabb Molinari Rosa kávéja is. A hely varázsát nem csupán a gyönyörű környezet, de a tüneményes vendéglátás is feledhetetlenné teszi! :)

A hely igényes és hangulatos. A kávé is remek volt.

Egy szuper kis családi vállalkozás, gyönyörű környezettel, kül-, és beltéri kialakítással, kedves, segítőkész kiszolgálással. Nagyon jó látni mikor valaki ilyen odaadással, szívvel-lélekkel végzi a szakmáját.

Kellemes hangulat, igényes, minőségi borok, pezsgők és finomságok.🥰 Alig várjuk, hogy visszajöjjünk!
