Duna-Ipoly Nemzeti Park

Definitely my favorite national park in Hungary! The two days I was there were truly unforgettable! It shows how beautiful the Hungarian nature is to the 100%. Exciting hiking trails, breathtaking sights (especially the Danube bend) and there's a high chance to meet wild animals like deers (but not bears or anyone dangerous really, so no need to be worried). Perfect for spending some time in nature, breathing fresh air and stay active!

Great and easy hiking to see an old movie set of a medieval castle. Can easily bike through it and a motor-cross field offers some awesome challenging bike runs.

We were hiking there for two days and spent one night. It was amazing experience, we met a wild boar, a lot of edible mushrooms, fresh water from sources... Just simply amazing!

Best escape into the nature above Budapest. Really good hiking trails. In every season!

One of the nicest place for hiking in the central area of Hungary, close to the capital Budapest.

It's a bit more distant, but equally more versatile landscape than Pilis-Visegrád area. Ideal for recreational purposes, but if you interested in forest management and have an eye for it, you can find some really good examples of that.

Duna-Ipoly Nemzeti Park is a true gem of the Hungarian landscape. The park boasts a diverse array of habitats, from the serene forests to the winding Danube river. The park is home to an incredible variety of plant and animal life, including rare bird species and endangered mammals.

I am happy that I had a chance to be there just for once.

Nice place for a weekend outing with our campervan. We found a beautiful spot at the stream to park for the night and awaken by the birds singing in the morning. Romantic strolls with spotting lot's of salamanders.

The closest nature reserve to Budapest. Since Buda is surrounded by hills, the city itself is neighboroued by the nature. It is very nice to take a walk, or even a whole day tracking in the hills, that you can reach in less than an hour by public transportation from the centre.

Best place to go out to nature. It is easy to leave your car in a parking place and jump into the discovery of the beautiful nature. You can fishing here and after(!) you can prepare it for yourself on the big fields open fire-places!
