Bayview Gardens Hotel

We got upgraded to a villa with a private pool and it was amazing! Absolutely beautiful views, the room and terrace were super spacious and romantic. The service was also great, breakfast served by the pool in our room was delicious. If I'm ever back in Labuan Bajo I'd book this one again!

Fabulous views from harbourmaster rooms. If you have mobility issues maybe this place is not for you on steep hill. Lovely staff. Comfortable beds. Highly recommend. 10 minute walk down the hill into town. Closest restaurant Taman Laut is excellent.

An incredible place with a fantastic view of Labuan Bajo and Komodo. They gave us an upgrade suite room with an ocean view to a villa with a pool for the best view. we enjoyed and remembered this place. Definitely a warm recommendation.

The reviews are bad but I couldn't resist the pictures so I booked it. We got room number 13 and I have to say I was amazed. It definitely delivered. Very nice rooms, amazing view, comfortable bed, breakfast in the room, infinity (shared) pool was also suuuuper nice and refreshing - again with views. Yes, the sliding doors were rattling during the day due to strong winds, but luckily there was no wind at night so it was relatively quiet and I could sleep without issues. Curtains and blinders on all windows are good enough to make room dark until the morning.
The bathroom didn't seem so private to be honest, bamboo fence could be higher :D but we managed.
Only tradeoff for the view is that if you want to go to city center for coffees/restaurants, it's really steep hill :)

I had the pleasure of staying at the hotel in January 2023 and wanted to share my experience with others on Google. Overall, I had a positive stay and wanted to highlight some of the key aspects that stood out to me:

The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. The room was clean and well-appointed. I appreciated the attention to detail in the decor and amenities provided. The location of the hotel was perfect for my needs as it had a great view of the bay. The price of the hotel was reasonable given the location and amenities provided.

Where the hotel can improve is the renewal of the toilet seat in our hotel room, as it seems quite worn to me. Furthermore, one should explain to the hotel staff directly upon arrival the breakfast order (write manually on board).

Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to others. However, I do think that there are some areas for improvement, particularly as mentioned above. Thank you for the opportunity to provide feedback and I look forward to possibly staying at your hotel again when I am in Bajo in the future.

Stayed in the budget family room. The room boasts 2 queen beds, spacious common room and big balcon overlooking the bay, direct toward the lighthouse and the promenade. Breathtaking view of sunrise & sunset I could sit there for hours. Our family stayed 2 nights. The pool is rather small but surrounded by enough natural shades to offer a cooling relaxation against the blazing sun. Breakfast is delicious, the service is friendly. The setting is like a semi-private cottage.
The hotel is perched on top of the hills with lots of steep stairs. Without a lift it can be a problem to drag a large suitcase on a sloping stone pavement. If you can handle a bit of walking, the hotel has very good value for money.

I stayed in harbour suite with full ocean view. The view was extraordinary! So pretty. However the air conditioner didnt work well so they offer to change room with same type. The air conditioner in the new room work well. Its just there are a lot of bugs and insects during night which made me restless. Breakfast are provided, fine.

They kindly let us check in early and have a late lunch. Super accomodating. The free breakfast arrived half an hour later and came straight to our doors. Lots of good food options for breakfast, including pancakes, fried rice, fried noodles, and juice. Came with fruit too.

We also paid by bank transfer because we were running low on cash.

Great view out to the sea, but can be a little high up and may be rough getting large suitcases to your room. However, they do have people helping you with luggage to alleviate this issue.

Wifi was bad from room 2.

Very nice view from our guest room. Best Dutch Pancake breakfast. Room size is a little bit small for triple bed. Yet,we love the balcony. We had very nice breakfast from our balcony.

I can only say positive things about my experience. The view from the room was absolutely stunning, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast and food from the restaurant were delicious, and the pool was fantastic.

Location is absolutely perfect at the top of the hills to get a great view of the bay, brilliant location for sunset. The rooms look good though we didn't stay, it's just a shame they used tin for the roof instead of tiles (apparently it gives a nicer sound when raining and keeps some heat out by being reflective). Instead we had a beautiful view for sunset and enjoyed some nice drinks and a beer from their restaurant which is at the top of the hill, amazing!

Superbly clean and good quality villa with attention to details. Furnished well and one million dollar view just stretched out magnificently in front you. Pool water is clear, bfast delivered to your room. Couldnt ask for more. Highly recommended.

Big rooms and good breakfast. The staff is very friendly. There's an infinity pool with great views to the town and the port.

In contrast with other reviews, the water in the pool was very clean when we visited.

Be advised that it is on top of a hill and there are many steps, which are tiring to walk when caring luggage. However, the staff offers to carry it for you.

There's always a taxi at the door to drive you into town.

We spent in master harbour suit rooms. The room is big with a beautiful view. There is a balkon to enjoy breakfast n relaxing. We had to climb the stairs to get to the room.

Great views, nice staff and breakfast in your room (all rooms seem to have a fabulous view for dining at, we stayed in two different ones). Pretty basic otherwise but key things were comfortable clean beds, hot water worked and pool was quite nice and clean. Good value.

We arrived at Bayview Gardens hotel via a taxi from the airport (costs about 50k rupiah) & we checked in immediately to our harbor view master suite. It was clean, staff was friendly & the views of the harbor at sunset when we arrived were unreal! Service was great & breakfast delivered to your terrace/balcony was delicious. We met Graham the owner and he was so friendly, along with the three pups you may encounter on the property. I believe their names were Rocky & Yule, & then we self named the female as Momma. They are so playful & a joy to hang with. Definitely would stay here again.

We booked a villa and for the price it was pretty unbelievable… I’ve payed more for an airport Holliday inn in the US. Honestly I think this might be my favorite hotel I’ve ever stayed at. They do it right at the Bayview Gardens. And you would be doing yourself a disservice if you stayed anywhere else in Labuan Bajo.

Sleep for one night at their suite room, and i must say the room was amazing. It was spacious, with big balcony where you can watch beautiful sunset at Labuan Bajo Harbour. Bathroom was spacious too, with a semi open air shower (they still put up some wooden roof on top of the shower so don't worry it's totally safe). My favourite spot on this room got to be the bed at the balcony. It's super cozy, i think i can spend my whole day just sitting there watching ships come and go at the sea. Will definitely come again when i visit Labuan Bajo next time.
