A place rebuild with love & passion. A place to learn not only about essential oil but further on its history. A must visit place while in Solo - Jogja and surrounding.

It's great to have an aromatic wellbeing retreat during our busyness and get back refreshed!

I went there in 4 family-groups, and so we tried different cabins:
- Rosemary (the quietest, the biggest, the most expensive)
- Palmarosa & Citronella (glamping tents)
- Marigold (wooden cabin - quieter than the tents)

Whatever you need, you can just give messages (Whatsapp) to the host and they will cater your needs - may it be booking activities or ordering lunch/dinner before the you arrive.

When you enter the room, you will be welcomed with the relaxing aroma coming from the flower & herbs in the bathtub to soak your foot in. You can also get more aromatic room experience by dropping some essential oils provided and turn on the diffuser.

During the day, there are so many activites to choose from:
- jelly soap making
- dough soap making
- perfumery
- morning trekking
- west lawu discovery (incl. Candi Sukuh)
- etc.

However, here are some tips when you stay there:
1. Order your lunch/dinner earlier to the host as they took longer time than usual restaurant to prepare the food. In our case, it took 30-40 mins on 6.15 PM for dinner.
2. If you are a light sleeper, better take the MARIGOLD cabin because all the tents don't have any sound proof. So when your neighbor have kids in tantrum ages, you'll get disturbed easily. They provided ear plugs though. But I don't like using them while sleeping.
3. Have to take the museum tour and aromatic garden. It's the essence of Rumah Atsiri - the why, when and who. Interesting!

The area, which was previously an abandoned essential oil factory, is successfully revitalized to become a must visit edu-recreation tourist attraction and has been operated since 2018. All facilities and plants are well maintained. The tour arrangement between Aromatic Garden tour and Museum tour is a bit packed with no rest in between for visitors, who purchased the tour tickets via Traveloka. Hence, we felt the Aromatic Garden tour was delivered in a rush by the staff, even though she let us know in a very polite way. There is also a restaurant within the area, which offers various delicious food. We can also purchase souvenirs made from the essential oils, even though they are quite pricey. Car parking is free. At the back, there is a glamping area for guests who stay overnight.

It was a essential oil factory at the past then it is acquired by Rumah atsiri. There are classes or small workshop with different theme in different day. A museum tour about essential oil and historh of it. You would love to shop and dine in a flowery garden.

Rumah Atsiri Indonesia is truly a hidden gem for those seeking a unique and enriching experience. From the moment you step foot in this place, you're greeted with a plethora of activities and workshops that cater to all interests and ages. I'd give it a solid 5 stars for its recreation offerings alone.

The staff here, particularly the apprentices, are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and polite. They go above and beyond to ensure visitors have a memorable experience, whether it's guiding them through the various trees and essential oils or assisting them during workshops. Kudos to them!

Glamping at Rumah Atsiri is an experience like no other. The serene and calming environment provides the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. Plus, the entire area is impeccably clean and emanates a delightful scent that adds to the overall charm.

The restaurant here is top-notch, offering a menu filled with delicious dishes served on clean tables in a cozy layout. I especially enjoyed their coffee, which was brewed to perfection. The baristas are friendly and efficient, ensuring fast service without compromising on quality.

With ample parking space available and various payment methods accepted, Rumah Atsiri Indonesia truly caters to the convenience of its guests. The unique and natural scents found throughout the venue add to its allure and make it a place worth revisiting.

However, one minor downside is their operating hours, which only extend until 5 PM. While I'm not sure of the reason behind this, it's a small inconvenience considering the overall greatness of the place.

In conclusion, my experience at Rumah Atsiri Indonesia was nothing short of fantastic. From the kind and helpful staff to the array of activities and amenities available, I had an incredibly fun and memorable time. Even the security guards greeted me with warm smiles, further adding to the welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and enjoyable outing.

Worthy of being an educational tourism destination in Karanganyar. Managed professionally and up to date. The toilet is very clean. The essential oil museum is also cool, the guide is quite skilled at explaining.

Unfortunately shopping here is relatively expensive.

Hopefully in the future the equipment of the museum and garden can be improved as well as the prices for essence products to make them more affordable.

one of the best ‘nature’ hotel within Tawangmangu. the view is absolutely green. we tried Rosemary and Marigold room type.
Rosemary looks like bunker room, cause we need to get down to stay in the room, while Marigold is like one bed suite in normal hotel.
this retreat is great for family, quiet and nice place for healing. the food? we’re so in love with the cuisine!
they also have museum, explaining their history, with natural shop.
definitely will come back anytime soon.

1 hour from Solo (weekdays). Beautiful, historical & great experience place to visit, especially if you loved essential oil/flower.

They managed everythings aesthetically without changing the original building from 1960. Please don't miss the museum tour to get to know everything about Rumah Atsiri, worth every penny!

Spend ±3-4 hours is enough, but they have a place to stay for full experience

I highly recommend this place, if you wanted to indulge yourself with knowledge about essential oils.
It might sound so cheesy but for 50k (entrance fee that also acts as a voucher), you can spend more than an hour without you realising it. FYI though each activity has a cost, some less than 50K some more.
But I truly like the experience and admire how the new building actually incorporated the old distillery factory and added aesthetic details here and there.

A very good place to hang out with friends, family, or even by yourself XD The scenery is majestic! Perfect place to clear out your mind from work.

The entry fee is around 50K, but you'll get a 50K voucher and you can redeem it on the shop inside Rumah Atsiri. I bought many oils, perfumes, and linen spray. I love all of them 💛

Let's support this local business!

Beautiful tourist spot but far from cities and anywhere. The building looks big but it only takes at most an hour or two to finish exploring the museum + aroma garden. Quite cheap tickets to be able to see the process of making essential oils and their history.

Money well spent! It was superb!
I love the staffs’ services and hospitality (a staff always corresponding with me before I arrived, during my stay, and even after I checked out), the foods’ taste and variations (eastern and western menus are available), the arrangement for the room (i went here for honeymoon, they even put more effort for the special occasion).
Their entrance gate for glamping located differently (further than others, in front of an elementary school), there are also gate for the museum and the store. Their security staffs were helpful too. I was told that the garden is free for those who stay at the glamping. I love the garden so much, it’s worthy to spend my time there.
The caretakers are also kind and helpful.
You can ask for room service too (the f&b will be delivered to your room).
On the room, there are amenities (lotion, shower gel and shampoo) and kimono that smells so good and nice. They offer hot water too on the shower. Their toilet and shower room are separated. They also offer diffuser. They prepared a guideline map about other touristy place that you can actually visit, they also offer a bunch of activities for you to try. There is foot massage machine (oh I love this one, my husband fell asleep while using this). There are also a lemongrass ginger tea, java blend coffee and honey.
Will absolutely come again!

I had a really great experience during my stay at Atsiri Glamping in November 2022. The staff is super helpful and friendly; they basically help me with anything. They make sure of the schedule and activities for me days before the visit and let us make some adjustments here and there on the day of our visit (Haha!).

There's a bunch of activities to choose from and some of them are already included in the glamping package, such as morning trekking, museum tours, and aromatic garden tours. They also have lots of interesting workshops; I did the eco-print and the Eau de Toilette one. That's very insightful and sooo much fun, especially when you do that with your family, rite? Haha. And the foods are tasty! It’s quite an aromatic experience, not only pleasing to the eye. Thumbs up!

Well, the tent is quite spacious and aesthetically pleasing. It gives me a cozy cabin vibe. I like the detail, tho. The personalized greeting card, the "Happy Birthday" banner, the french marigolds…all of them! :) They provide a diffuser for you to use, just turn it on and the tent smells like heaven! Haha. Well, since the tent is surrounded by plants, I got tiny guests a.k.a small bugs and a little snail. Which is very normal since we stay really close to nature. P.S.: Use the insect repellent that they provide, it smells so good! haha.

Overall, that was a wonderful experience and would love to come back! Shout out to Mas Kimmy, Mas Iwan, Mba Djati, and all staffs that make this trip so incredible. :D

Rumah Atsiri offers a wide array of engaging activities for visitors to explore. During my visit, I had the pleasure of participating in a fascinating workshop centered around crafting eau de toilette. The workshop provided a hands-on experience, guiding us through the intricate process of creating this delightful fragrance. Moreover, I was impressed by the establishment's commitment to maintaining a well-organized and impeccably clean environment, contributing to a truly enriching and enjoyable experience.

Clean and neat. Such an innovative place to learn about essential oil and another natural product processing. We have to pay 50k for the entrance ticket but and could exchange for another attractive activities (museum, workshop), food, and the products itself

Rumah atsiri gives off a homey vibe and I really like it 🥺 as someone who likes fragrance etc, I recommend anyone who also have the same interest to check out this place at least once. There is a tour about atsiri, fragrance and rumah atsiri so if you'd appreciate a lil history and knowledge, go check it! At the end, you can check out their store for their amazing products.

The service offered by the staff was superb, the quality and care from them even exceeds some five star hotels.

Food quality was great as well, even more when price is considered.

The room was clean, and the activity is alao well thought. Simply cannot rate the experience any higher, would definitely revisit and recommend to others.

I visited Rumah Atsiri and tried their restaurant and museum. The food is great and the museum is very well put. The design is very modern and mixes well with the surroundings. I come at 2pm and I swear that it wasn't enough, there are still things to explore. Will definitely come back again.
