Pengrajin Keris Djiwodiharjo

On March 24 we visited Momo at his house and shop. Officially everything was closed because of the Ramadan. But Momo welcomed us in his place. I brought pictures of a keris that I received 44 years ago when I lived in Jakarta. Wondered if Momo could tell me anything about it. He assured me it is an antique keris from the era of Mataram. Can be 16th or 17th century. He advised me to clean the keris with coconut water and oil the keris with aromatic oil. I bought the oil and took it with me to the Netherlands. Today (14th of april) I cleaned my keris and oiled it. Looks a lot better. I had contact with Momo and we shared photos. I want to thank Momo for his advice and for welcoming us at his place. We both look forward to meet again some day🙏
