Warung Bu Kris

Was told that this place served really good Indonesian comfort food. I was indeed comforted.
Wide range of dishes that are full of flavor with the right amount of freshness as well from the Urap that we got.
My highlight would be the Tahu Telur. The soft and light fried omelette with their signature peanut sauce was excellent.

Surely that Bu Kris always one of the best choice of delicious (hot & spicy) Indonesian cuisine.

Their any Penyet-menu and basically any choice on the menu will surely bring you joy dining here or take-home.

My favorite is always the Empal Suwir (Shredded spiced-beef) and Ayam Goreng (Fried Chicken), combined with Sambal Teri Mangga (Anchovy and Mango Sambal) never fails.

Though usually we always avoid lunch time.

Warung Bu Kris specialty is in East Java Cuisine like pecel, tahu telor, rawon etc.

Place : only take 5-8 minuetes from serpong exit toll. It has many place for parking since it is in the commercial area (Ruko).

Food : I love east java cuisine, mostly tahu telor. The “petis” is superb. Petis is a suace made of fermented shrimp.

Drink : they have many kind of drink like a hot drink (tea/ coffee), cold (ice tea, soda), juice.

Price : quite pricy, but if you compare the taste, it is worthed.

I recommend to go there not in peak hour. Peak hour is around 12-3 pm. Come and enjoy east java cuisine with original taste of east java.

This is the resto when you miss east java food for both lunch/dinner. Visited many times. Remember if they close on Monday.

My fav here is their ikan bandeng. Tried ayam goreng and their telur asin as well. All tasted nice. Price is reasonable. Love that they practice social distancing and disinfect tables prior to seating

If you missed old fashioned cuisine from East Jawa, this would be the ideal place to dine-in with your family and friends. They serve the best rawon and empal meat with great hot tea. Their crackers are also tasty!

The food at Bu Kris has never failed me, the staff are really nice and respond quickly.

This is one of the best place to eat "penyet food" in Jakarta, Penyet Food is a traditional Javanese Dish (and also Sundanese), it's focus is the plate of Sambal (crushed chilly serving, with spiciness can be adjusted to your liking) then what's on top of it depends on what you feel like eating at the moment. Warung Bu Kris serves almost anything on top of the sambal, from chicken (fried or grilled), Indonesian omelette, meatballs, beef cuts to variety of cows intestine cuts. They also serve other javanese rice and soup dish.
My Favorite is the mixed penyet set and the Fried Bandeng (Milkfish) set...
The price is very reasonable, except for the Milkfish it to s quite expensive compare to the others, but it is very very good. And since it is located ins a commercial block, parking is plenty. The waiters are very knowledgeable in the things on the menu, and service is ver good and fast.
Been here many times, always get my tummy very full afterwards

The food is delicious, especially the "ayam goreng penyet". This place is always crowded at lunchtime. Prepare money this restaurant only accept cash.

I'm speechless.. I can't describe it since it's very very very delicious! The best sambal I've ever had! Eventhough it's lil bit pricy, but it's worth it! Dare to try the super pedas sambal here??😀

Absolutely delicious east javanese cuisine. The Nasi Rawon Empal is one of the best Nasi Rawon in Greater Jakarta Area. You can also try ayam penyet or iga penyet, they are both also tasty; and the price are very reasonable

I'm a person who doesn't like spicy. but when I tried the sambal bu kris, I loved it and finally got hooked with the sambal.

Food is delicious especially boiled vegetable with peanut salad.
