PURI MAS BEACH RESORT

We dropped in here for a couple of drinks. I really wish we stayed here instead of Svgara resort. The hotel is right along the beach and the views are really nice. The staff and manager Sara are friendly. The hotel is well looked after. We will definitely stay here next time. Looking forward to coming back to stay but also to have dinner later tonight. Too many tourists go to Bali, come to Lombok and support some of these great hotels which are much more peaceful

We absolutely love the Puri Mas - our favorite resort in the world (of the probably 30 resorts we have visited in 10 different countries). It's not the newest and most posh place we've ever stayed, but the people and the atmosphere make it the absolute best. The people are seriously concerned with making your stay the greatest you've ever had, the food is excellent, and the grounds beautiful and lush. If we lived closer, we would return multiple times per year - as it is, whenever we're in the vicinity we make sure we spend a week or two at the Puri Mas.

A very nice and beautifull hotel / resort. Staff is very kind and helpfull. The breakfast is really great. Enough choice and plenty of food. A great ocean view from the beach side with a big pool, seats, beds and kasebo's. The dinner menu is also good. Lacal and western food is available.

The rooms are spacy, clean and have a lot of facilities.

Stayed for 3 nights at Puri Mas Boutique Resort. We were looking for a relaxed beach getaway, and this was the perfect place to do it. We had booked the private villa with a pool.

Pros -

- First off, the staff all over the property is super nice and courteous. We loved our interactions with them as they made our stay very comfortable.

- Huge villa, really comfortable with lots of space for 2 people or a couple with 1-2 kids.

- Bed is generally comfortable, but soft. If you have a backache, this could be an issue.

- Strong shower pressure, with some toiletries provided.

- There was a jacuzzi too, but we didn't use it.

- Super nice pool, it's about 1.5m.

- Nice outside poolside seating area where you can have lunch/dinner with a pantry (consisting of fridge and water cooler)

- We got massages done at the resorts sister spa, which is a 5 minute ride away (transfer is provided). The massages were excellent and rejuvenating.

- WiFi is overall quite good, but sporadically fails and logs you out.

- We requested for a late checkout and they provided us with a smaller room at a nominal cost, which was very comfortable and convenient.

- Location is great, close to the beach. 10 minutes drive from the nearest village which has a few eating options.

Would strongly recommend this place if you are looking for a retreat. Easy to book a Grab/Gojek to get around.

Cons :

- Breakfast was ok. They don't offer a buffet, but have a fixed breakfast menu of 3 options (Western, Healthy & Indonesian).

The American choice comes with bread, sausages, mushrooms, beef bacon, beans, tomato and eggs your choice.

The Healthy choice is an avocado toast with poached eggs.

The Indonesian choice is nasi/mee goreng with prawn crackers with an egg, cooked overeasy.

All options come with a fruit platter and a dessert item (waffles/pancakes etc.

Overall, I found the taste just ok. The coffee was excellent though.

- While being seated in the restaurant, you will be constantly courted by hawkers selling gems/clothes from outside the property compound. They keep trying to catch your attention and that can be a bit offputting.

- The initial villa that was assigned to us had an aircon problem. The staff helped in moving us to a different villa upon informing them.

One of the nicest hotels I ever stayed in. Lovley gardens, great rooms, clean and spacious, fabulous breakfast options and the staff is outstanding. I would highly recommend to book a spa treatment aswell to get to know the Puri Mas Spa Resort.

Stayed 3 nights at Jacuzzi Villa 20. Room is big and clean. Jacuzzi pool is good. My wife and kid love it.
However, room (toilet) do need maintenance. There are some part broken and leaked.

Overall is nice experience. Staff was friendly and nice especially Abang Haji (security).
If anyone plan to stay, please book at Quirky Garden side. The garden is beautiful.

After being lucky enough to travel to many countries in the world, we always return to the Puri Mas.
We have just returned from our 4th visit and are missing it desperately.
We travelled as a family, with my 83 year old mother who has mobility issues. She was looked after and made to feel very special.
It is difficult to describe this hotel in words. As a previous review said, it is 'heaven on earth'.
Although the hotels position and grounds are beautiful, it is every member of staff that works there that makes this hotel ' a home'.

From the gardeners, housekeeping staff, resteraunt team, reception, management and all the unseen staff that keep the hotel running a massive thank you.
I'm not quite sure how you do it, but what you do makes the Puri Mas an extremely special place.
If you are reading this review, undecided whether to stay there, please don't hesitate, you won't regret it. It is an unforgettable, extremely special place and thank you to you all for welcoming us into your family.

We really enjoyed our stay in a 1 bdrm villa with private pool. Everything is sparking clean, including the pools. The villa is spacious d the outdoor seating is lovely. We were not enthralled by the breakfasts but otherwise everything else, including all the beautiful staff, is superb. We will definitely return!

Absolutely first class resort. We are a family of 4 from the UK. We were lucky enough to have a 3 bed villa with a pool. The sea view is breathtaking, the staff are so friendly and smile every day. The food is brilliant. You could not ask for more. I would definitely recommend staying here.

What a great holiday we've just had at this amazing place. We stayed here for 2weeks and we could of easily stayed for more. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everyone here was amazing. The staff at Puri Mas are probably the best we've ever come across. They're super professional,polite and always smiling. We stayed in villa number 3 which had an amazing view out to the gardens and the ocean. The food was always top notch. Food was very good quality and presented at a very high standard. The chef was a lovely lady who often came over and spoke to us. We spent most days near the lovely pool and in the afternoon noon went for a walk along the beautiful beach. We rented a scooter from the hotel so we could explore. We booked a trip to the gilli island's(the one down south) which are beautiful and very quiet. Our driver for the day was Mr Chin. He was a very friendly knowledgeable man who told us loads about the island. I think our favourite thing though about puri mas were the staff. Especially the restaurant staff. By the end of our holiday they felt more like friend's. We're gutted to be back home in rainy England but we are already thinking about booking again to visit this lovely place. We have stayed at Puri Mas several times in the past several years. There is so much we love about this place from the Staff (who are all wonderful, helpful & friendly people) to the location which provides the most pleasant views across the ocean to the food which has never disappointed us & to the entertainment in the restaurant. The gardens in the grounds are lovely to walk through & provide such a happy & peaceful haven.
The Spa Resort which is also part of Puri Mas is also fabulous & an added bonus. Whether you are wanting a relaxing massage or go the works with beauty treatments, there is something available for everyone & you will not be disappointed.
We are looking forward to being back in the Puri Mas paradise later this year.

We have stayed at Puri Mas at least 4 times now and are going back again soon. We love the resort, the proximity to the Gili Islands but most of all we love the hospitality and friendliness of Sara Sanders and her wonderful team. Do yourself a favour and book!!!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Food is good, views are amazing, A/C works great, gardens are impressive, location is ideal. Would return in a heartbeat.

We love Puri Mas so much we have been back 4 times. The location is beautiful, right on the beach and a short trip to the Gili islands. The spa resort is idyllic and the grounds and garden hold surprises around every corner. What we love the most though is the staff. They are a wonderful friendly team who pride themselves in looking after guests with warmth and humour.

We spent four nights here and really enjoyed its relaxed vibe at the end of Sengiggi beach. Our room was lovely and had a warm pool to swim and cool down. Large bathroom and bedroom, even an outside fridge and food prep area (no cooking facility). The staff were really friendly across the whole resort and the food and drink was good and reasonably priced. The beach was great and the sea warm. A little too shallow for and decent snorkeling but plenty of coral and fish to see. The only issue we have with this beach is you get hassled to buy local goods every 50m. We did support some of them but they take time to get the hint you're not buying.
We met the owner, Marcel, who was a true gentleman and really interesting to talk too.
We would recommend this resort for couples who want a romantic getaway from the busier island of Bali. We would recommend 4 to 5 nights in Lombok to get a good balance between relaxing and doing island tours.

This was our first experience in Lombok and we loved the resort so much we actually didn't hardly leave. Sara and hubby we amazing hosts. Food was incredible, and staff were sensational.

We have visited Puri Mas on many occasions over the last 12 years. On our first Lombok trip we had booked another resort however our friend told us to change to Puri Mas. The resort is small and full of friendly staff eager to please and have fun with you, we always have a quirky garden room which is prefect for our needs. The infinity pool is a place you could sit all day. The food at the Ballroom restaurant is great and good value, we now don’t even leave the resort for dinners. Covid had paused our trips but this October we are going back. Trying the new ferry from Bali this time as Air Asia haven’t resumed direct flights from Perth. The girls love the spa resort, and the ferry harbour to the gilli islands is just up the road. See the Bagus divers staff at Puri Mas to plan a day trip of snorkelling and they can drop you at a restaurant for lunch. Sara the General Manager, and all her staff are always eager to make our visit the best it can be.

We spent 3 nights here after some time in Gili T. Great value. It could do with a bit of a refresh, but I feel this will happen once Lombok fully recovers from Covid. The staff are great. We had a pool villa and the space was great!
