Southern Star Mysore

Southern Star Mysore Hotel live upto its expectations by name and the star rating. We checked in and got a room on 1st floor, we requested for a room with a better view on high rise. We were moved to 5th floor with a hill view.

Superior King room was spacious with pretty and simple aesthetics. Bathroom was neat and clean. Property has a big swimming pool, spa and gym. Staff was courteous and helpful throughout the stay.

What I loved the most during my stay was - the food and the location.
Breakfast was simply delicious and had a wide range of variety. I adored donuts and cute little sandwiches, they were my favourite. Ate a bunch of them. Sambhar was luscious, the taste I was looking for to savour. Overall, I could eat breakfast again and again, it was too good.

Property is located at a perfect location. Everything is nearby, Mysore Palace, Zoo, Railway station, Guru Sweet Mart, Mysore market etc.

I would highly recommend Southern Star to anyone and everyone who’s planning a trip to Mysore or even want a place to stay, for their unparalleled food and stay.
Will definitely visit again and soon, it has been almost a week and I couldn’t get over the donuts! 🙈

The hotel's Jyothi hall was air conditioned. The acoustics was good . We had been there for the lit fest. The restrooms near the hall were clean.

Good stay and nice hotel for family. Though the manager with suite focus more on foreign guest.

Hotel is clean, good food, well maintained pool but needs a guide for safety. Good parking space and location of hotel is great. Zest is awesome, very good chef. Special thanks to front staff Chandru and hard working staff in Zest restaurant.

Had a great stay at the hotel Southern Star Mysore. Located at the heart of the city. Service was great, however need to take care of maintenance part, like bathroom faucet was leaking, water was not draining out properly from wash basin. Special mention about the healpful gesture offered by the staff Ms. Arpita at reception and restaurant.

This is a upmarket hotel with all amenities. Breakfast spread can be improved on the taste part. Well maintained and neat. Swimming pool and the area around is very beautiful. Restaurant of the hotel is very nice. They have a shopping area too.

Beautiful hotel, but the cleaning service can be a bit better.
We aren’t picky at all but sometimes some things are quite obvious.

Highly recommend the dinner that the hotel offers. Great variety of local cuisine and great selection of delicious desserts.

Absolutely love the hospitality they provide to their customers! All the employees who work there were kind, very helpful, and very humble. There was no bias towards gender and respected both genders equally.
Food was awesome! Best buffet spread I have come across so far! Delicious food, variety in dishes they served and a huge spread of dishes for people to choose from👍👍👍

Had a good stay with family. Excellent service. Food at Zest was great. Rooms are cleaned daily. Staff is well trained and service is good. Parking is ample and organized. Overall a great experience.

Southern Star Hotel, Mysore ,is a true treasure for those in search of diverse multiple flavors right here in Mysore. They have tastefully decorated restaurant exudes elegance and warmth. Their culinary adventure included spring rolls, Panner Tikka Multani, mutton biryani, variety of Indian Breads,and more. Each dish showcased the region's flavors beautifully. The service was alright, and the staff made us feel at home.
We concluded our feast with mango slice bowl. The serene ambiance and authentic decor set the stage for an unforgettable experience

Everything about the hotel-the room, the ambience, the surrounding area and staff were great! The Zest retaurant in the hotel is one of the very best! Ravi, my server with a smiling face provided exceptional service to get me Alu Palak which is my favorite (with Tandoori roti) and was not on the menu! It was perfect! The next day I had the buffet which had such a great variety and every dish was so tasty. Kudos to the chef and his team!

We stayed in this hotel fr three nights four days ad it was a perfect stay although there was some small issues like housekeeping were not that perfect in their job specially cleaning the tiolet rest was good,since the hotel is full so the zest restaurant is over crowded ad creates a burden on the staff although the staff is hardworking but they lack behind in providing services to everyone there ,rest was good the manager the staff at restaurant ad front desk staff are all very cooperative ad I am a pure vegetarian so fr those who need veg food the taste here is excellent but it's little expensive than other hotels.

Just go for it. Bit pricey but worth it. Very good rooms. Buffet dinner was just amazing. Service on time. Location is very good. No complaints whatsoever.

Luxurious stay with big rooms and a feeling of premium-ness. Huge hall for any function and located at a premium location. Huge hall ways and amenities available in the rooms like iron, hair dryer.

Great place , it’s good for families with grown up kids .
The non complimentary items were placed outside in the rooms for all rooms .
Thus it was not very kid friendly .
wheelchair accessibility is limited .

We didn't stay but visited their restaurant. Their buffet is excellent both veg and non veg. Loved their food. Prices are also reasonable. Desserts are excellent. Do try.

Southern Star Mysuru has gone beyond any expectations and left such a lasting impression. The rooms, buffet, room service and other amenities are absolutely top notch and would recommend this place to everyone I know when in this beautiful city.
I would also recommend the hotel to reconsider the uniform of the hotel staff as it isn't fitting to the ambience, especially the ladies blue suits.

Food was great served by Mr. Mahadeva and front desk Ms.Arpita is friendly and so welcoming and the environment and pool is calming and relaxing.

Rooms are spacious. Good ambience. Budget friendly.
