I would recommend going between 4pm-5pm here. From 6pm they start to close the temple and do not allow you to stay after 6:15pm. The temple is elegant and very peaceful. It is situated at the bank of river Cauvery. In the evening you can also appreciate the surroundings and beautiful sunset.

Beautiful temple on riverside. Sunset or sunrise is must watch here. 5 6 kilometers road is worst near the temple.

Temple was rebuilt / shifted to New place by Khodays owner. It used to submerge in water. Now it's Beautiful...

A magical temple, dedicated to lord krishna, that has been re-constructed and relocated from the reservoir. Kudos to the entire team who made this magical initiative a dream come true moment. Calm and serene temple complex which makes you feel light with the scenic surroundings. And not to miss its photogenic pavilions all around the temple’s exterior corridor. Don’t forget to hear the breeze in the video added.

Beautiful temple which is reconstructed. Very spacious and clean.
They won't take any money for entry, parking or for the god.
There is no Hundi / ಕಾಣಿಕೆ ಡಬ್ಬಿ which is very rare to see in the temples now a days.
Security guards will ask you to switch off the phone while entering inside the temple which made the temple premises very calm.
Darshan of God gives very much positive vibes. You can meditate or relax in the surroundings of the temple.
Outside the temple we can see the KRS back water. There are some rock seats where you can sit and enjoy the cold breeze and view of the back water.
Sunset view is very beautiful here. Do visit the temple during evening to see the sunset also.
Here restrooms is also very clean and it is free too.

An architectural Marvel. It's a masterpiece if you like to see ancient architecture. You can watch a perfect sunset in the backdrop of Kaveri River. It's very calm and serene. Still not over crowded by tourists. A perfect weekend gateway for people staying in Bangalore or nearby.

This temple explained me the Yugas of Avatars taken by Lord Vishnu and i was stunned to have a darshan of all Gods at one Temple 🛕. The essence of Tulasi over here make you go crazy to stay with it...Love to visit it back soon 💕

Beautiful temple near KRS dam dedicated to lord Krishna. Temple was originally in krs water, later shifted here during dam construction. Temple is beautifully constructed with great architecture and good view of river on other side. Can enjoy sunrise, sunset. Temple has main shrine of lord Krishna, very beautiful. Temple has multiple individual shrines dedicated to all gods- Lord ganesha, Goddess Parvathi, Dattatreya, Asta lakshmi, Navagraha, River Goddess, Vishnu Dashavathara placed beautifully around the main shrine. Temple does not allow any offerings and no photography inside. Parking place is abundant. Toilet facility is there. Worst part is the road to temple.

The non commercialised temple

Just serene . Amazing place the temple surrounded space is very huge and peaceful. So just can sit for long meditate and can spend some me time or lone time !

Happy to witness such thing in Karnataka temple after ages

Inside temple do not see any dirt. It is very clean. And they do not take any offerings from public. Which looks to be the Best policy , many temples can adapt this ; where they do not want to turn commercial. They do not do any special pooja for the outside people but just spreading the positive vibes.

The water around it is an added beauty to the temple 🛕.

They have not allowed any shops in the vicinity. Outside of the area/gate they have allowed few of the local people to sell the grown veggies and fruits it was good see the whole environment

The temple is on the banks of the KRS Backwaters. The place is very calm and charming. what else one needs for relaxation from busy life.

This is a new temple which has been reconstructed. The old temple was submerged after dam was built. The temple is in good example of rock sculpture architecture. They have close to 48 figurines of deities and sages inside the temple complex.

Temple timings 9:00AM to 6:30PM
No Photography allowed Inside Temple
No Entry fee
Free Parking

This is situated next to Brindavan garden (same route) on the back side of the dam. It's a very good location surrounded by water 3 sides. Sufficient parking area. Temple architecture will attract you and its big temple as well. Around 1km road near the temple is not good (okay okay) to reach the temple . We loved this temple.

Temple is very neat and clean. Statues of ashta laxmi, navagraha, saptarishis and other deities. Main Krishna idol is beautiful. Good place for clicking photos as well. Inside temple, photos are strictly prohibited. The road leading to temple is bad for a few metres, need to be careful with smaller vehicles. Probably not much crowded because we went on a weekday.

The temple is located around 10 kms from Brindavan Garden. The approach road is in very poor condition & away from the main road.
The temple has been shifted from it original submerged location in the dam waters. The Khoday family used their resources to shift the original temple & restore it to the new glory.
The temple is inside a large complex. Ample parking, good public amenities, windy & calm surrounding are plus points.
Make sure you DO NOT place any offerings to any dieties inside the temple. Also, respect the temple & it's surroundings.
The lake is surrounded by lush grass with herds of animals grazing.
Perfect time to visit is Winter months.
Must visit during Mysore travel.

From the depths of history to the serenity of its surroundings, Sri Venugopalaswamy Temple is a true gem. Submerged beneath the waters of KRS Dam for over 70 years, this temple's journey is as remarkable as its architecture.

Nestled in the heart of Hosa Kannambadi, it's an exquisite example of Hoysala architecture. Every stone and carving here showcases the craftsmanship of a bygone era. The temple's spacious premises house a series of intricate sanctums, each telling different stories of Hindu Gods. As you circumambulate the sanctum, you'll find a tranquil and meditative atmosphere both inside and outside.

What sets this temple apart is its pure devotion. No offerings, no queues, no VIP treatment – just darshan and prayers. It's one of the cleanest temples I've had the pleasure of visiting, and I implore fellow devotees to maintain its pristine condition.

The road leading to the temple may be worn in places, but the journey is unquestionably worth the final experience. With ample parking space, this temple is a testament to time and devotion, offering a connection to the divine that's truly extraordinary.

Beautiful place to enjoy time with family & friends. Situated in the river front of KRS backwaters and nearby to Brindavan gardens. There is a nice driveway next to temple where you can access river and feel a beach like experience.

This is an Excellent place to visit during the evening in Mysore. The road leading up to it is bad for about 1 km but really worth it. The temple is on the banks of the KRS Backwaters. Cool Breeze flows here and the temple is very clean and well maintained. No offerings are allowed at this temple which instantly wins my heart ❤. The place is very calm and charming. You can take your vehicle to the banks of the river and take some quick pics ( Ps: We definitely did NOT do this 😉)
