Ancient Shri Karighatta Srinivasa Temple

Very nice and calm please, the drive to reach this temple is also amazing 🤩. It’s just opposite to Nimishambha temple, actually you can see from this place. The temple is very old and ancient one. We had good Darshan at this temple. People don’t respect the sacred place they just throw garbage and litter at this place which was very worrisome.

Beautiful small hill near shrirangapatana. Best time to visit in the morning or in the evening. On top of the hill one small old temple is their but it won't be open full day. Can spend one full day on top of the hill. Even u can do small trekking their. No restaurant so you have to take your food and water

Very nice place and good one for children to play. Nature lovers can enjoy the place by sitting in the sitout area built on top of the hill.

This is a very underrated place near srirangapatna. One who visits srirangapatna, must visit this place once. This hill station has very good scenic view and nature. Please don't litter this place with plastic

Trekking here is an awesome experience.
Go for trekking in groups.
There are more chances that you end up alone on the hills because its an unrated place nobody on the weekdays goes for trekking.
I visited on Sunday i Got accompanied by a group of 8 people near the hills.
There is no parking lot or structure here so parking here is at our own risk.
Take enough water and food before starting.

Venkateswara Swamy temple... Very peaceful and calm place with fantastic green hill view, hill top garden with view point and all-view surroundings with a canal down the hill. Best time is early in the morning before Sun gets hot or evenings. 4-5 hairpin bends, small ghat road which is neat and not too narrow.

Recommended to visit in the month of July to December.
The view from the top is awesome.
Do visit in the early morning.

The place where I want to be every weekend. This place is so peaceful. This is a historic site as well. Known to be the place which was used as a vantage point by tippu sultan. It is very near to Nimishamba temple. There is a temple on top of the hill. The serpentine roads are well maintained. There are several view points in the place. This is a plastic free zone and would request everyone not to litter any plastic. Do watch the sunset from here it's a treat for the eyes.

It's a must visit place if you are visiting Sri Rangapatnam, and Mysore. Entire green lush Valley of Sri Rangapatnam is visible from the hilltop. Sri Rangapatnam town, temple, Cauvery River, Mysore City, Chamunda Hills are visible from Karighatta hill top. Beautiful Srinivasa Govinda temple on the Karighatta hill. We'll layed road from the base to hill top. Two Wheeler and four wheelers can be taken up the hill. Parking facility is there at the hill top. Few snacks and fruits sellers cam be seen on the hill top. Water bottles are available. Monsoon is best time to visit.

Nature! This Hill is situated very next to the Sri Nishambha temple. You can walk from the temple to the karighatta peak. There is temple of Lord Venkateswara very next to the peak. The scenic beauty of this place is mesmerising.The hill stands at a height of 2697 feet above the sea level.

Best offbeat place !!! Small hill, beautiful location, good hangout place with family. Just 10 mins (5 kms) journey from Srirangapatna. Venkataramana swamy temple is there.
Like other tourist places, this place also been developing to attract tourists. Still few things are under construction atop the hill - Sasyodhyana (gardens), beauty spots, event places, temple reconstruction etc.

Improvements needed -
Safety barrier should be placed in hairpin bend curves ( around 6-7 curves are there )
Tourist-friendly police force should be deployed to avoid illegal activities.

Temple on a hillock. Ghat road is nice. Temple is ancient but walls seem to be of recent construction. Historical temple.

Beautiful temple located on top of a hill around 5 min drive from Srirangapattana. Well maintained and open whole day during weekends holidays, it also has a small bio park where kids can enjoy. Very scenic from top as one can see Cauvery river.
