Serene and divine! Loved my experience there. With everything covered in pink gulal, the temple was looking gorgeous and made it even more photogenic.

As wirh almost every other temple, Darshan time is only 30 secs to max 1 min if you are lucky given the crowd that shows up.

Very nice temple to visit. They have paid parking available outside the temple. You have to get down with steps which will take around 15 mins. If you are visiting on weekends you will take time for darshan. They also have VIP darshan passes. They have chappals stand to keep your footwear. The temple is really nice and old ancient temple 🛕. Must visit and worth visiting.

A very divine place of Lord Jyotiba (considered as an avtar of Shree Kedarnatha🙏🏻) . We have to cross a jungle. The temple is located on the hills which makes it more refreshing and the atmosphere there is something magical. Must visit this place once in lifetime!!

Legend says Vishnu, Brahma and Shiva came together to incarnate as the deity Jyotiba who eventually destroyed the evil Ratnasura. Jyotiba helped Ambabai in her fight with the demons. He founded his kingdom on this mountain, and belongs to the Nath sampradaya. Lord Jyotiba destroyed Raktabhoja Rakshasa, and Ratnasura Rakshasa thus liberating the region from their tyranny. The idol of Lord Jyotiba is four-armed.
On Chaitra Poornima of Hindu calendar, a big fair is held, when lacs of devotees come with tall (Sasan) sticks. Shree kshretra padali, vihe, kolhapur chatrapati, himmat bahadur chavan, Gwalior shinde kival navajibaba are some sasankathis in this festival. Due to scattering of ‘Gulal’ by the devotees the entire temple complex appears pink and even the Jyotiba hill has turned pink, resulting in people referring to the temple as the Pink temple. Being Sunday is day dedicated to Jyotiba, there is always rush over there.
One of the most remarkable aspects of visiting Jyotiba Temple is the sense of unity among people from diverse backgrounds coming together in worship. The temple's significance transcends boundaries, welcoming all with open arms.
History of Temple : There was a small temple in the place of today’s Jyotiba’s big temple. The original temple is built by the devotee named Naavji from village kival near Karad. In 1730, Maharaja Ranoji Shinde of Gwalior renovated the original place in a grand place. This temple is simple and has been constructed with fine black basalt stone.

The other (second) kedareshvar temple is particularly standing without pillars. This temple is build about 155 years ago means in 1808 by Doulatrao Shinde. There is chopdai Temple present in between Kedarling and kedareshvar temple which is built by Pritirao Chavan, Himmatbahadur in 1750. So particularly this is a group of three temples.

The 4th Temple of Goddess Rameshwari has built in 1780 by Malji Nikam, Panhalakar. In front of Kedareshvar, on a small square platform, there are two nandi’s in black stone. This is also installed by Daulatrao Shinde. On the east side of temple there is a Goddess Satvai facing towards east. On west side of temple Shree Ramling is situated facing towards east. At five to six places of temple wall, the veergal stones are fixed.

"Shri Kedarnath has established twelve Jyotirlingas around Jyotiba Mountain, so he is also called as Jyotirling. In order to establish the twelve Jyotirlingas, they first established Badrikedar ling in the remembrance of their original place in Himalaya so it is called as Kedarling too.

Amazing experience. The entire journey was an exhilarating experience. The temple being located at the summit of a hill. The climbing experience is reminiscent of the one we usually have while traversing up the hair pin bend curving roads of thirumala.
The entire visit to the five plus temples located, are dedicated to the trimurti, ma amba Mata, Nadi dev and jyotirlings. It is said that the entire hill encompasses the 12 jyotirling.
The history goes that ma aadhya Shakti created her version of the Trimurti, who were said to be infinitely more powerful than the original three, to destroy their ego.
In short it has a wonderful panoramic view, and the most amazing personally spiritual experience, one can ever imagine.

This place is about 20kms from Kolhapur. If you are visiting Mahalaxmi Temple at Kolhapur then you must visit this divine place. The idol is self made and a good place to visit with family. Typical wait time is 10-30mins. The place is spiritual and you will see pink gulal being scattered around the temple.

"The Jyotiba Temple in Kolhapur is a beautiful and serene temple dedicated to Jyotiba, a form of Shiva. The temple is located on a hilltop, and the climb to the top is lined with shops and stalls selling local food and souvenirs. The temple complex also includes several other temples and a beautiful garden. I would definitely recommend visiting the Jyotiba Temple if you are ever in Kolhapur."
