It’s a big statue of Jesus in Velankanni, located right parallel to the holy path leading to the Mathakulam/old church. There’s a way behind from Morning star church also. Opened in 2018.

Looks majestic and beautiful, people just keep taking pics and chit chatting around so becomes more of a photo opp, May not be peaceful for praying.

We planned the trip for Velankanni Mata, we saw the statue of Jesus from our hotel and visited the place.
The statue is envisioned & gifted by Frederick Ponniah & family & Shrine Basilica. Place is blessed & opened by M. Devadass Ambrose on 28th October 2023.
