Kundan Bazar Guest House

This warm and cosy guesthouse is tucked away from the usual touristy main areas of Bodhgaya in a quaint village that is just a small e-rickshaw ride away. The rooms are very neat and clean furnished with the essentials. They have a great rooftop view as well as an expansive library. Finally, the extremely courteous and friendly staff make the stay truly memorable. Recommended

The rooms and facilities are clean and well maintained. The staff is super friendly and helps you with any requests. There is a nice roof top with restaurant. The menue has plenty of choices and even some vegan options. The wifi is very fast and has excellent coverage on each floor. The guesthouse also sells books and clothes at reasonable prices

So this place is around 1.8 kms away from main mahabodhi temple which is very near and all the transportation is available within 5 mins walk.

Why you should choose this guest house?

1. Shubham. Very young boy who welcomed us and was very polite, responsive, quick to arrange anything and manage this very own place.

2. Library. They have kept a small collection of around 800-1000 books collection of different genres and sitting place where one can sit, relax and read whatever of their interest.

3. Rooms. At this price I've never came across hotel/guest house which provide all the amenities. Sure TV wasn't working but when you come to roam around buddh temple, you least bother about tv. Rooms are spacious enough to accommodate two person and at most 3 person with well ventilated space.

4. Neat & clean. Rooms, floor, desk, wardrobe, linen, hand towel, bath towel, washroom everything was clear and fresh.

We booked for one night only but definitely this worth long stay.

P.s. Don't judge a book by it's cover. Same, don't judge this guest house by the street which leads you to this place.

Parking is across the street. They don't have their own parking space but our vehicle was completely safe.

Short but very pleasant stay, we had great talks, good sleep and excellent food here and would recommend this place to everyone coming to Gaya. We spent quite some time in the Lobby talking to the very bright and nice young man there, for me even more interesting than the Buddha tree ;) The story of the shop is also very nice. You support the local community with your stay here as well. All the best to you guys, until we meet again. Follow the white rabbit ;)

One day quick stay at this guesthouse. Lot of foreign guests stay here. Liberary maintained is excellent. Staff is very co-operate. Impressed with Suraj with his accent and hospitality. Neat and tidy place. All facilities like bed, bathroom are well maintained and clean and hygienic. Very good prices can not be called as low budget (price less but extremely good service)

Excellent place to stay, very confortable and clean. Staff is very attentive and helpful. It is just outside of bodhgaya in a village, so you are out of noise. Can enjoy the quietness of indian village. On the way to the main temple you can visit other monasteries, enjoy countryside, do some purchases. It is a very valuable place to stay.

If you are looking for Guest house in Bodhgaya. Then this is really high recommended place in Bodhgaya. We spent 3 days at this place with my friends . and we had really good time there. The most friendly staff I have ever met of any hotels or guesthouse. Rooms were clean,24 hrs hot water, and any type of food you asked for, beverages you can buy from the reception and walking distance to Tergar monastery, which was a good thing for me, mostly the helpful staff. I loved it there and would surely visit again.

I didn't stay there, but I ate and shopped at Kundan Bazaar a lot! A wonderful place to sit and read with an extensive used book selection and reasonably priced clothes. A rooftop cafe provides a superb view of the region and very good food.

I checked out the rooms and was impressed (but I had already been checked into my place that I also really liked!); I may have to stay at Kidman Bazaar in my next visit to Bodhgaya!

We find this place through Google map and We had really good experience at KundanBazar Guest House. As people say little bid faraway from the town otherwise everything was very good. Room was beautiful. Bathroom and stairs was very clean. And nice view from balcony around the village.service was excellent. We really love it this place. Very High Recommended.

Room was very Comfortable. bathroom was clean.Terrace was beautiful and very Peace .service provide by them Excellent. staff was so helpful.but little far away from town 15 minutes walking. they also provide bicycle to move around.hope to see them again. if we come.

Extraordinary friendly and helpful staff, wonderful rooftop with a broad variety of good food served. Very nice small rooms with bathroom and balcony. Some hundred meters away from busy mainstreet. Free washing machine, free bicycles, all in all a must go!

Excellent stay at this charming Guest House. The room is basic but clean and everything you need. The best part are the staff who make you feel welcome as soon as you arrive.and the Dinner was really tasty delicious, well served.

Definitely the best place to stay in Bohdgaya.
The staff is very nice, awesome restaurant, and of course the book store down staris. The most clean place that I saw in India!

Very good guest house in Bodhgaya

Just been thr for 2 nights 13-15 Oct.
It's an awsm place to stay vd friends family or partner.. Quite clean tidy elevating.. In a nut shell jst an awsm place. Try once and you will never choose any other option for stay at such a reasonable price..

Good hotel very friendly staff . great location just off the main road but no road noise.The rooms are basic but very clean with air con and fan.The breakfast was excellent with a good choice.the hotels restaurant served excellent local food at a good price.

Guest house is far away from city. But very nice environment around the Guest . very clean room ,floor, Bathroom. Staff is very helpful.so nice view from rooftop around the village!
