Mahasu House

It is a beautiful 'house' located in a beautiful place. Well appointed rooms. Big functional radiators in the rooms as well as in the bathrooms. Since it was cold during out visit (10 Nov) the heat emanating from the radiators was appreciated. The winters have just started. Beautiful valley side view from the premises. Provision for outside seating with angithi and also a deck with provision for bonfire.
Staff is prompt and polite. Never got a negative answer from them. Lalit and Narender are the names of the staff that looked after us and they were excellent at what they do. Chef and team (sadly we couldn't meet them) are the cherry on top. The meals were hearty and tasty. Freshly prepared food so one would do better to order in advance.
The dining area is cozy and so is the adjoining living room which has lots of books for the avid reader. There's a fireplace too. The place does not get direct sunlight from November to March but as stated, rooms are well equipped to deal with extreme cold. Summers should be a fantastic time to visit.
All said, it is a must visit place especially if you want to hog on fresh home cooked food and cozy dwelling rooms. Highly recommended.

Lovely property with very tastefully done up interiors, excellent staff and great food (don't even try to eat elsewhere) - overall the perfect mix of a professional set up with a personal touch. And the cherry on the cake is the location: just picture entire mountain sides lush with pine trees.

This place has awesome views into the valley and overlooking the hills. Another highlight is the food which is great, each meal that we had was extremely tasty and felt home cooked. The service of this place is great too.

A heavenly abode with excellent hospitality greeted us here. The host is an extremely warm and wonderful gentleman. The food is delicious, 3BDR cottage is exquisite and very spacious, the entire property is maintained with utmost perfection. The staff is very courteous and made us feel very much at home. Just minutes Away from the hustle bustle of Shimla, it’s quiet and peaceful. If you are a nature lover you can enjoy walks/ trek around the area with breath taking views.. it was One of our most memorable trips to Mahasu House with my family and we would love to go back again soon to create more wonderful memories. Truly a home away from home!

Calm and quite place from, away from hustle bustle of Shimla. Enjoy viewing snow clad mountains from comfort of your balconies or while eating delicious breakfast at breakfast deck. Polite and evercaring staff, expert master chefs always ready with delicious and homely stuff. Coupled with excellently maintained recreation room housing TT, Carrom, pool and karaoke system and of course a modern gym with all facilities. A great holiday experience. Thanks a lot owners who manage the property so well.

Thinking Shimla...think Mahasu house. A heavenly abode with excellent hospitality greeted us here. We went on a friend's advice, and we thanked her every single day. The food is delicious, rooms are exquisite and very spacious, the entire property is maintained with utmost perfection. The staff is very courteous and made us feel like royalty.
The view from the property is breathtaking. There are cycles, barbecue, snooker table, home theatre system, and lots of other activities.

Had a great experience which cannot be portrayed by words. Beautiful location,amazing staff specially Narender and Lalit bhaiya. Food was prepared according to us which was delicious. One can relax here in peace away from the busy world between trees and fresh air. The rooms,bathrooms are perfect. And the best part is breakfast and dinner location just amazing. Various facilities like outdoor and indoor sports,karaoke,books spa etc are available. Loved the overall experience.

It’s a wonderful place. V quiet and v nice food. The staff is very good and can prepare anything for you. It’s place to visit n stay. Good walks around. Lot of activities. Pool table, gym, table tennis etc.
Views are beyond description.

We stayed with family and celebrated 13th birthday of my son. They arranged cake and what not! I must say it’s one the best places I have stayed till now.

Beautiful property with Mind-blowing service. Worth every penny spent. Didn't find the staff so courteous even in 5-star hotels.
We got late due to heavy traffic and reached at 12:30 in the night. The staff waited for us and gave directions to find the way on phone and served dinner at odd hours without getting bogged or bothered by it which told us a lot about the place. The food and the breakfast is served at different places in the property itself (whole property is extremely beautiful) which is difficult logistically, but it gave us a feeling of freshness evrytime we had the meal. I will be back for a longer vacation next time.

I haven't stayed there but my farm house is near by, so I can only tell about the location. Well the spot is one of the most beautiful and prestine areas of Himachal. The tinted sunsets, near by dense forests just perfect for camping 🏕 and the tranquil sceneries around are some attractions worth the effort and money. Besides there are many homestays, rooms available nearby.

Amazing location- amongst the woods and clouds - perfect for a big group get together - has facilities like Gym, Games, Karaoke, books and indoor games as well like TT, Pool ec,,, the rooms are spacious an the bathrooms even more ... loved our family time here.

Lovely location,,, well known in Shimla ,,, 4km from main road, completely in hill and jungle around,, ensure you get your things and requirement specially if you drink alcohol then must get from down small bazar.. lovely view down of purani koti
